A/C, Wiring, and Sparco R100 Seat Install!

My loyal fans, it has been almost 2 weeks since I've posted. My sincere apologies!! I have been working very hard to produce a plan forward on this swap and get it in good standing, all the while tracing through all of the fine tune items needed to get this swap 100% perfect functionally.
In this video, we cross through a few basic to-do items on the list. One of those is the R100 Sparco racing seat. A pretty straightforward installation and man, does that seat look good in the M3.
Now on to the not-so-good stuff. We vacuum tested A/C system only to find some leaks on both the suction and pressure tubes. In the following episodes we will troubleshoot some of the logic for controlling the compressor and using the E36 pressure switch to control the compressor. I suspect we have a leak in the expansion valve, so I will need to replace that in the next video. Once that is done we can then fill with R134a and get the system pressurized.

Frank, i knew it is going to be a bit more difficult but you made the right choice. On the long run you'd like to have the gauges and all working as close as stock. Nothing worse than an engine swap with a couple of lights on in the dash. Although a bit more work now for you but the owner's smile will last longer later. And a satisfied customer & Yt crowd may bring more swaps in future 😉. Good progress and keept it on 👍. Cheers AJ

You’re telling me!! Sorry for the more sporadic postings lately. The troubleshooting and fine tuning of all this stuff is very time consuming, but I have just one or two more items. Another A/C dedicated video is coming up this week!

Is the R100 lighter than stock? Are R100 slippery fabric? Do they recline full back, as if you could nap in the car? Thanks
Do all the bolts you need to install for the seats come with the parts when you order them or do you need to find specific bolts seperately from a store? Like do you just pull off the bolts from the old seat and install them into the new one?

Where did you get the seat mount??
I've been looking at these seats for my E36. Its a coupe but should be the same. Would you say the seating position is higher, or lower than standard E36 seats? I'm a tall guy so its important.

Lower than stock, the sliders are pretty low profile. Ben is a tall guy too so height was a concern for him as we
dude im trying put on the sliders but when i have the sliders on its making me push down to slide the seat up and down not up plz help

You have it installed upside down. The ones on the seat go on the chassis and the chassis ones need to go on the seat!
