Truck or van? I'm starting out and stuck on what to pick for my first vehicle. I don't have a garage, and probably will be doing this as a side job during the busy season. Van would be good to use and protects tools and units from elements. Truck can be used on the off season for personal use. also can use a trailer.

There's better ways to read the pressures than to hook up manifolds and holding 3oz/hose. I personally own stubby gauges as well as wireless probes, both are good for checking the charge while loosing an arbitrary amount of refrigerant; which is necessary when working on critically charged systems in refrigeration, like ice machines and reach-ins. You should always check charge though.

My current situation: Split System HVAC compressor and fan do not operate. Indoor unit and thermostat working properly. Capacitor is new. When I depress the plunger on the relay, they both start. There is no 24v to relay coil. Coil has continuity. Pressure switches have continuity. OF1 & OF2 has continuity. What's left? Could the HK32EA007 Board be bad?

It’s tough to get people to spend money on hvac unless it’s an emergency, due to inflation. Extra money is gone on just getting by, it’s like twisting peoples arms to get them to do basic maintenance or recommendations. Our costs which are fair, seem that much more expensive when the budget is tight. But some people are cheap and don’t see the quality and value in our services. I do the same thing, it’s one cost to do a maintenance, which includes everything like you mentioned. It’s simple, honest and straightforward.
