Hey there! I hope you have enjoyed this experimental video to expand the content of my channel. When you want to see more of me and my friends doing stupid shit (and if you're into Visual Novels), then also check out "The *Not So* Great Ace Attorney 2", which is a completely unhinged live dub fully edited into a 9 hour video. kzread.info/dash/bejne/goukl9WepK_HZps.html Thank you very much!

Once you know english, nothing's stopping you. And considering that a lot of young people in Germany speak english pretty well, it doesn't suprise me that they know Jerma, for example. I mean, a substantial amount of my english skills come from watching stuff from english-speaking people for years now. Of course we have german memes and insider jokes, but, from what I've seen, english ones are almost just as widespread, if not the same. I guess that one really depends on what the algorithms give you, though.

This video is proof that all the jokes we think are dumb in our own native language are exponentially funnier in a different language. I wouldn't have laughed as much as I did at 3 people saying "your mom" and giving the finger to each other if it were English, but in German this is PEAK comedy. Also to echo the sentiment some have here, this is actually really good for learning German as a non-native speaker. I'm in third year German right now but we haven't done too much straight-up dialogue and this is very helpful to learn how to pick up on what faster speech means.

Yes, I really recommend doing that! I started watching stuff in english on KZread a few years ago, and my skills just developed from that! I had the basics of grammar already and some vocabulary as well, but just listening to natives talk taught me more typical expressions, patterns of word pronounciation, more grammar, too, actually! I learned a whole new time form before even learning what is was called! So, definitely beneficial, all that! Knowing multiple languages can really come in handy in some situations!

I know English is a common second language, but it still surprises me how so many people can master this language, especially with how difficult the spelling of words can be. I've been taking Spanish classes for years, and I can still barely speak a single sentence in that language.

  • @AliceBunny05

Usually it's about dedication, or early exposure. The people who will find it easiest to have a second language of any sort will be people who started learning it young. Alternatively, you can take classes as a late teen or adult, but you will need more than just classes in order to gain proficiency. Many language classes are limited in the kind of things they teach about said language, and overall it just usually takes a lot of time and consistency, dedication to learn new things, constantly be using the things you have learned, etc. A lot of learning language is about repetition and consistency. You can even lose some familiarity with your first language if you stop speaking it completely for prolonged periods of time. But yes, it takes a lot of consistent effort and willingness to practice for at LEAST an hour every day, if not more to gain any significant headway on most languages.

What's difficult is to not learn it. It's everywhere, signs, advertisements, films, games, services, the internet, everyone has to know it, even if it's a difficult language to pronounce . It's insane how prolific it has become

I'm from Latin America, around the age of 11 or so, slowly learned English by watching cartoons (Because i couldn't put some of them in Spanish dub, so i had no choice but to use Spanish subtitles) So around the age of 16 or 17, i was decent enough in English to speak it, write it, understand it and read it. I'm trying at Japanese to be my third language.
