I love how different british/american comedy is! It feels like brits rewards their comedians for quick remarks/wit much more than we do, a breath of fresh air to be honest

I feel like some American comedians just want to put others down and that’s what they think is funny. Whereas British humour is more about being silly and ridiculous- which is why this works.

@@travelwell6049 Putting others down/roasts is also quite popular in the UK, Jimmy Carr is great at it. But I think American comedians wanting to seem smarter than the room can be a put off with some comedians especially when combined with arrogance. That was Norm MacDonald's biggest complaint about American comedians. But yeah in general I think you're right

I think British comedians are more happy to cooperate and go along for the ride without necessarily being the star of the show, which is why these UK panel shows work so well. I think Americans are more likely to want the limelight for themselves, and with a whole ensemble competing for airtime, it just wouldn't work.
David's Nativity play has to be one of the most entertaining WILTY christmas stories to me 🤣

I enjoy Richard as a guest, he gives Lee a run for his money. Very sharp.

I just love watching his (Joe Swash) face light up when he gets his own doof doof.
I love how James Acaster looks genuinely happy to see his fireman friend, Jerry, after he says hello to him.
Wonderful, funny game show. This and 8 out of 10 cats does countdown, always keeps me in stitches.

I've gotten into an argument with another adult about reindeer she thought it was hysterical. I thought reindeer existed. Actually, laughing is not in malice, but more like my belief that the mythical creature known as Reindeer existed was ridiculous. I ended up having to show her a video of reindeer farmers and suggesting we go to the zoo. The whole thing was amusing to me.
I miss Barry Cryer. I want to listen to him in panel shows again.
They should really have Tom Courtenay on more. He's absolutely delightful
Perhaps James could get a kid to lob cabbages in the way of the stream of water.

Is having yorkshires with Christmas dinner weird? I've always had them as Christmas dinner is basically just a slightly bigger roast.

@@BeccaB529 it was probably changed from "baby Orwell" or the like, to something specific, like "George." In 1958, it wasn't even "boy," unless his mother was psychic, until he was actually born.

How can you have a dry socket after a root canal anyway? A socket is what's left when a tooth is removed, and you have root canal treatment when they're preserving the tooth.

Who's having Christmas dinner without Yorkshire puddings?
There are nine doofs if you do NOT count the kick drum sound that lands on the 1-beat at the end. The nine tom-tom drums occur in three successive sets of increasing speed: 1) | | 2) | | | 3) | | | | If you count the duller kick drum sound at the end, then there are ten hits in all. I think JOE SWASH! was right.

I think James' dad is probably a jerk who felt embarrassed that his son liked the Spice Girls and what he did was actually very hurtful. Good thing James has an amazing sense of humor.

I had my (US) Thanksgiving dinner blended and drank it through a straw. Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and gravy all blended together. Pretty good actually. Probably wouldn't have been as good if you added yams, cranberries, and apple pie in the same mixture. I had my wisdom teeth pulled earlier in the week and it was painful to eat solid food for most of the week.

@@rhythmandblues_alibi What is the difference between drinking it blended as opposed to eating a forkful containing bits of turkey, stuffing, and gravy? Also, my mom slightly heated it after it was blended so while it wasn't as hot as a regular dinner, at least it wasn't cold.

@@georgewendle7467 Thanks.....My list of adverts blockers are: Adblock Plus Adblock Ghostery Tracker Proxflow uBlock Origin Video Ads Blocker But had to turn off a few of them, because YT got all stroppy by bombarding me with angry notices......So a have a couple or so of Ad killers and when I get the stroppy nicices I just close Chrome, and restart it, which usually stops the complaints....so life is a little easier at the moment.....😄
