A Buddhist asks Sadhguru a Puzzling Question

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

A vipassana practitioner approaches Sadhguru with a question that he has been unable to find an answer for anywhere else. In his own inimitable style, Sadhguru demolishes the questioner, beseeching him to make an authentic effort to grow. #Vipassana
#Sadhguru
Yogi, mystic and visionary, Sadhguru is a spiritual master with a difference. An arresting blend of profundity and pragmatism, his life and work serves as a reminder that yoga is a contemporary science, vitally relevant to our times.

Brilliant. SG barely took even a moment for thought, and then launched into this comprehensive explanation that covered EVERYTHING implied by the question. The explanation appears to have been wholly created in his mind in an instant. It was well considered and well organized. A masterpiece of exposition executed on the spur of the moment. I suppose that is what happens after years of just doing it.

Just the fact that Sad Guru talks of demolishing the questioner reeks of arrogance!! People have genuine questions. If our so called guru is so enlightened, he would do well to answer as best as he can. Making fun of someone does not behove well for a guru. To me he's just a charlatan.

For me... time is only part of the 3rd dimension that is limited by time and space, which are both part of the same. In the material/3D dimension we can perceive things little by little, second y second... But 4th dimensional things can be perceived by our mind from the future or past, they are seen at once in the 4th dimension where time doesn't exist and space doesn't make sense. When you say "the beginning" That's only part of 3rd dimension which have time. The beginning is the start of only the 3rd dimension, and is hard for our material brains to comprehend a dimension with no time.

There cannot be a perfect answer than this. Because you also need to accept that sadguru is also a human. So he can answer upto this extent only. That it's irrelevant. Nobody can answer it. That's the difference between intellectual and intelligents. Intelligent doesn't needs to proven to other until you know it.

Sadhguru has more experience than all of us and he answered it wisely. Whenever you sense the slightest barrier while teaching, you effortlessly (so it seems) find a different approach to make sure your words are clear and confuse no one. Yes, yes!!! Just Do It!!! (I doubt Nike understood it on this level!) When thinking about things I have done that I did not understand previous to doing it, without any instruction, I realize that the act of doing it gave me an understanding that questions and answers could never have explained, and that could not possibly match the level of understanding I attained from "just doing it". Instructions given in words and pictures are not enough to give a proper understanding. This is why the ancient Egyptians used hieroglyphs - they are NOT a primitive form of language, but a "language" that represents what words and sentences cannot, and the great thing about hieroglyphs is that each time a person "reads" them, the MORE they get from them. Back in ancient times, a person learned more and more from the same hieroglyphs the older they got. Giving instruction to someone who thinks they know everything takes many more hours to get them to the place where people who don't assume they know everything are already at.

If you are an "eternal" being, why would you have a beginning? The question asked by the young Buddhist indicates he knows little about his path. This point is covered in the suttas. Any knowledgeable teacher would know the answer. However, dwelling on this question is an impediment to awakening. Contrary to Sadhguru, vipassana IS asking questions, but the right questions. Those are questions about your beliefs and comparing them to the Dhamma. Vipassana must be balanced by samatha. It is normal to ask, "What was my origin?" But, it is not a helpful question if your intent is to awaken.

I think where u want us to reach is a state of manipulation so I can start bobbling my head and agree on each and every point. I think everyone should be able to understand answers to any questions in this world which are related to your life. Don't bring me Maths and tell me do u know the basis of Pythagoras theorem, that would be diverting from your question. Tell me how many times have I taken Rebirth? Just because someone has spend almost all of life into something which in appreciated In India and easily to mend Indian Crowd, doesn't mean he is right. At the End he might have realized that there is nothing in God,but now that I have put lot of efforts and practices and voracious readings,I should use this to drive people and manipulate them and get the Feel of the King. After many years of practicing meditation, the questions disappeared from my mind because I started to understand who I am (and there is nothing extraordinary about it). The closer we get to our real essence the more we feel at peace and stop being curious because there is an inner peace that is all that really matters. During meditation, even in the lesser states of consciousness, the questions dissolve. And in the deepest states of consciousness, doubts do not survive. No question can be asked and all the answers are given.

One should ask question without saying ' no one has ever answered it yet ' to really seek for the answer, but not to provoke or insult the person to whom you are asking. Its ok if no one ever answered but someday the aswer is surely gotten. We must not be impatient and our own research and seeking from intellectual persons must be continued with humility and calm mind till the satisfiable answer or information is achieved.

Any question has an answer. It should not be a problem to the speaker to answer the question. Speaker need not snub the the person who has placed the question. By snubbing method you don't help the society to get a technical answer to the question.
