Javier Bardem was terrifying in No country for old men. The movie wouldn’t have worked without him. Excellent actor. His portrayal of Stilgar was my favourite part of Dune 2. The memes are good too.

Me too! I had no idea it was even in the movie until I looked up the cast after seeing the second one (I saw the second before the first). He was my favorite character, with Josh Brolin's character, too. He made the movie.

Stilgar is till shown to be incredibly competent and intelligent in the movies - moving and communicating quickly and efficiently at all times, acting as a mentor to Paul in a condensed fashion that very much so honors his portrayal in the book. His “Lisan Al Gaib” schtick that’s used for comedic effect is also pretty well done in my opinion. That comment also ignores that Stilgars arc is nowhere near finished when the credits roll.

Seeing these two guys in the movie, Dune, just brings joy to my heart, and good memories of watching over and over again No Men for Old Country. ❤😊❤

I enjoyed it way more than the first one, it felt like more things happened, and I think also because I liked the character development and prophecy stuff coming to bear

That was a masterpiece! They were both so good. Along with Tommy Lee Jones and Woody Harrelson. Still brings chills thinking about Anton Chigurgh. “Call it. Just Call it!”

Yeah. Looking back i think Brolin is even maybe bit underrated in that movie, but Javier kinda steals the show in that so its understandable. Even the supporting cast were so good in that movie though

(Nobody sticks put as poor) Personal favorite was the "big" lady at Llewellyn's trailer park that was less than forthcoming about where Mr. Moss may be. You're 100% though that Bardem is just so good you might even forget what the whole movie is about.

Yeeeeah it's not that good. The book is 10x better and there are many better movies. Most book adaptations don't compete with movie movies

and this is the true reason why the dune movies are so fantastic, freaking top tier casting.

I would love to hang out with these two people for a couple of hours. Love their energy and looking forward to watching them on the screen. ❤

Javier and Brolin did exceptional jobs on dune. They both made the story so much more endearing and memorable with their portrayals and mainly it's from being who they are. Their energy comes through in their acting and the overall feel of the parts they are playing has a kind of gravitas that I think really makes an impact with the overall story.
