One correction- there is at least one partial speaker endeavoring to learn the language again from a Grandmother that knows some of the language and spoke it when young; the former did a presentation in a college class I had in Santa Barbara

Its amazing that the chumash and Filipino are the same looks, the same plank boat style we called balangay and one of chumash leader or elders name is Pagaling a very common Filipino word and native Filipino family name.. I think chumash and Filipino have same ancestors..

if the map is right,i was flabbergasted when i saw chumash and yokut written there... 😳 in siberia we have the chuvash and yakut turks... now my question... are these ancient indians really related to us turks? this cant be coincidence... maybe in history they traveled from north america to siberia, and became tatars, our ancestors...😳 there is also pecenek turks in europe, i once researched, and found a place called pacanka,a native indian tribe, and i was like 😳...

Hello Maximus Silva, I am currently doing some research on the Chumash people as well, I was wondering if you had come across anything pertaining to ritual human sacrifice? According to the textbook of an American Indian Studies course that I took; Chumash mothers were expected to sacrifice their first born to ensure that they had more children. Please let me know if you have any insight into this topic, thank you, Good Day Sir!

By no means am I knowledgeable on this particular tribe as I am just learning myself. However, looking at the history and culture as explained in this video, I would say it's safe to say, that no. That doesn't seem like a thing this nation would just do.

No they didn't get along with each other! Intervillage warfare was rife, the two villages right across the creek from each other at Dos Pueblos were in constant war. A civil war at Muhu is what led to the eight families leaving and populating Limuw or Santa Cruz Island as it is now known.
