That was so sweet when Wilma was on Starry’s back up on the railing, Starry was walking so carefully so Wilma wouldn’t fall off. ☺️🥰. I think girls are just naturally more thoughtful with the little ones.

Wow, Knotty is skinny! These older kids seem to always be on the periphery and missing out on most goodies. More so Knotty because he’s always been skittish.😔 I hope his fortunes improve in time.👍☺️

One of the differences I see a lot with these Rhesus is the moms have very little to no blood etc. on them or their infant so soon after birth. They are exceptionally clean, unlike the LTMs.👏👏👏🥰

I was thinking Scooby sounded a little like SP. I no longer watch thosd channels but SP has a honk like no other, nerve grating. Bless those feeders who gave them apples rather than bread. And he/she cut the fruit into pieces so everyone got some instead of just a few getting whole fruit.

Sally’s baby looks to have been born the day you shot this footage as the baby still has her umbilical cord attached and it’s not all dried up like it does after a day I noticed it in 2 shots where Sally was walking away from you

Sally's newborn looks like it's fresh from the oven. It's little face is still very red and somewhat wrinkled.

Wilma stole the show today. This little girl has no poker face, we could instantly see she was scared and panicky when she was left alone on the railing. I've noticed a couple times recently that when little babies get scared they stay in place and wait for someone to come answer their cries. I wonder if staying put is an innate or instinctual response when they are scared? Especially since she was full of confidence to run around the play area by herself later. She sure loves leaping into the pile of leaves, doesn't she? She just beams, so full of joyful exuberance! Very cute piggy backing a ride on Starry too. What a delightful baby, so fun to watch. I noticed Libby tried to redeem herself and babysit Wilma again later in the video, good for her. I wonder if Wibby realized Libby fell down on the job earlier. As active as Wilma is, she could probably use a reliable babysitter from time to time. (What is Libby's relationship to Wibby? Isn't Libby Lubby's daughter? Maybe Wibby doesn't have an older daughter of her own to help with babysitting?) Rena may not be as advanced as Wilma but she's still our little beauty queen and she's sweet and well behaved. There are so many babies to get to know this year across all the troops and I can't remember them all, but every video I think "these are for sure my favorite babies this year!"

This years crop is the sweetest and funniest! Our gang definitely need an estrogen infusion🥰 It is such a sweet moment when we get to see Knotty. All of Gypsy's kids have a special place in my heart...Sending love from my house to yours 🇨🇦❤

AM has two name rules for the monkeys in Bossy's troop. All name has to end with a "y" (Grandee are the only exception) and they should be as short as possible🙃. 🤓🏴‍☠️🇸🇪

The rhesus macaques in the wild hardly ever get parasites of any kind. That's all the grooming for because if one get infected the rest will follow and they can't afford having a whole troop covered in some kind of parasites. A lot of time when a rhesus macaque scratching her or himself it doesn't have to do with parasites. The researcher are clear on that but the most of the time really don't know why they do it. In some situation they do know. For example a rhesus macaque can scratch themselves for others to take that as a clue like , come and groom me. There's also easier for always ground level animals to get parasites. The rhesus macaques sleep in trees so they're protected at night time. 🤓🏴‍☠️🇸🇪

There must be a long tail troop near by because you do do hear fighting and aggressive behavior in the background but we never see it and we know it can’t be the peaceful Rhesus.

Two of the reasons (of many) a rhesus macaque doesn't give birth one season is that she has her baby late the Season before. Researcher have also found out that if a mum let her young one suckle to long have problems with getting pregnant next birthing season. 🤓🏴‍☠️🇸🇪

They aren't huge...they are normal size. It's the Monkeys that are smaller than you think! For example, Rena and Wilma are no bigger than an adult human hand!! Sally's newborn is even a little smaller. Sally is about the size of a small dog. Imagine an apple in a collie's paws.
