That was my first time doing that! I wouldn’t do it on older cars but for new engines with loads of plastics it is honestly incredible!

So, you can literally grab a pressure washer and wash the entire engine without damaging something? Ive always been SCARED TO DEATH to damage some electronic or something by washing engine bays. I own a 2014 320i F30 Luxury Line, can i do the same procedure as you? GREETINGS FROM MEXICO, GREAT VIDEO.

Just do your best to not get them wet and soapy. A little water is fine but don’t directly power wash them or soak them

Battery isn’t as important but definitely cover the alternator. Play it safe and go in with a brush and towel to those areas. No water

There is a high risk of shortening your engine life, you should definitely be more careful

Bmws don’t come with alternators, turn signals or seat cooling so I am not sure man sorry

Do I have to unplug the battery when cleaning my bmw engine bay? I have a 330i 2018. What do I avoid? I just don’t want to mess anything up. Can someone please answer this dumb question lol?

Honestly your biggest concern is broken seals, which is more or less a bigger issue than what could happen via detailing. Alternators and electronics on older cars should be approached with caution 🤝

Battery and if you have an exposed air intake. The engine should be cool to the touch and using decent engine degreasers help. If you're still worried, you can just use a regular garden hose instead of a pressure washer. Hope this helps.

I would have thought that wouldn't start after all that water.
