Imagine being a historian and trying to recount this. Like how do you even go about explaining what the fuck happened. It's essentially like the German-Moscow Axis completely bungled the war and were on their knees, then suddenly Goring woke up and decided "I'm done losing" and then took the European continent wiping out millions of allied troops in the process now meaning that the Allies had completely bungled the war. What a game very impressive recovery.

Italy defensively can be solid, its when they try to invade the botch it hardcore. Switzerland border ironically is the weak point

The German Expiditonary Force should be given the highest honors of the war. Without them securing the Eastern Front, no movement on the West would be possible

The GEF were the real MVPs. As soon as they were deployed, they worked wonders!

How you did this was amazing. Certainly the random FrancoBritish bs. An epic save from a gigantic clusterfuck. Also, very much a lot of goose.

Honestly, impressive recovery given the state the game was in at the start. And all by early 41.

'We have the Soviets though, who are... struggling against Finland.' That tracks. 'What's Italy doing? Sucking.' Also tracks.

this game was wild from start to finish, with all the twists and turns it took. And that German expeditionary force clutching through Romania was amazing.

Alex you do know he didn't actually delete his production of guns but was removed due to the fact the factories assigne to em were in the hands of the German republic

That franco-british union reminded me of a game where I was playing as Greece and killing the turks only for them to trigger a civil war which then forced me to white peace them even tho I had almost all of their country under my control. I truely do hate this game at times its like a abusive relationship.

​@@ertrick3693 I formed Rome in Kaiserreich a year ago as Greece and had to fight a never ending war with the untied states in south America. after being nearly to days real time in to it I wanted to bash my own skull in.

@@kinggundragon3728 Well I had a similar experience as Japan fighting USA in Mexico meanwhile UK and other Latin countries were slowly joining USA one after another making me put MORE troops and cause heavy attrition.. A (what should have been) 2-3 year war turned into a 5 year campaign of constant attrition and taking OVER USA, Canada AND South America at the same time (thankfully Venezuela and Chile were there to help out a bit).

I Will say the guy Who sent this one is forgiven. It happened to me. Just like this player i had No idea that everyone joins the allies, so when i attacked poland, everyone attacked me! So i had a race of trying to take poland before they capitualte me.(btw the ussr did nothing so thanks Stalin) So Just before Berlin, with three tiles i could send the troops. I was at 89% cap i think, and then i hold them. So i was over time able to take back Hamburg, and then they were open. So i tonked down and capped the netherlands, belgium and Luxembourg. Then i took the maginot, then i fought through switzerland to the part of austria still under my control. That is my biggest encriclement i think, with about 3-4 million men and a open europe. My greatest game of all time :D

Sounds similar to my Poland game. I built a fort wall with Germany but eventually they took it and they took Warsaw as well, so I gave up but then I noticed they were creating a massive pocket with no port north of Warsaw so I encircled it and started gradually retaking Poland, until I managed to retake the wall, then I pushed into Germany and annexed the whole country.

@@mappingshaman5280 Cool! I really like it when i get pushed in such desperate situations, as it really hits back and Can easily make Even germany desperate. Because if you loose tanks, whilst your industry is weak, you loose time to rebuild. And if you have to few tanks, pushing is harder, so you rely on pulling gradually back, until you again take the offensive, and hopefully Win

i've done a world conquest on Civilian Economy as Germany before. the best part of that game was that my tank division was just 18 combat width pure light tanks. HOI4 pre-Together-for-Victory:Commonwealth was weird.

I've survived and thrived in a situation like this. Declared war on Poland and Czechoslovakia, and of course France last minute guaranteed them. Had to make a defensive barrier of north Germany, but after a year of defense I pushed them back.

It is lovley to see when alex finally loses his sanity. Great content :D

I am new to the game and have just had the worst German experience. Anschluss got rejected, as did sudentenland. So I took Austria by force. I ended up forming the Berlin Moscow alliance. Italy decided to declare war on Greece and got steam rollered by the allies. Everyone on my borders except Poland and a newly formed Austria from the treaty of Rome. I allied with Japan who then got wiped by fascist America. I took czechoslavkia by force and the wars began. I took Denmark out and held at Copenhagen. Nothing was happening on the western front even though we were at war. In the south Switzerland pushed against me and Italy pushed through as well either side of neutral single province Austria which resulted in a costly stalemate. Eventually allied Romania let the UK through to take back czechoslovakia and everything started to crumble.

The people sending these saved games are having a blast creating the most awful, yet barely possible to turn around, situation.
