A Beginner’s Guide to Stabilizing Monkey Bars

I Often recommend beginner obstacle athletes (adults and children) use the monkey bars as one of their primary training tools.
In this video, I'll teach and show you the techniques used for stabilizing your body on the monkey bars so you don’t fall awkwardly - which is one of the ways the children often get hurt on the playgrounds.
Technique number one is matching, and this is done by keeping your hands on the same bar and keeping a close grip.
Another technique is matching by skipping a bar. Instead of grabbing the second bar, you would hold the next bar (skipped bar) and proceed.
Doing both these techniques requires you to have control over your hips. Remember to engage your core to make sure your hips don't move. Also, make sure to practice various monkey bar maneuvers for faster speeds.
