krita is like photoshop. it isn't really made for animation. open toonz on the other hand was made by studio gibli and was made for animation from the ground up. I would recommend learning open toonz for animation so you dont have to switch animation workflows midway through your animation journey. @@sumilal5108

Curious: I'm also new to OT and just went from a drawing pad (used for yrs) to an XP-PEN tablet, and I see in videos that ppl use the whole screen to draw on, how do I do that? So far it just has a mini version of OT on the screen (multiple screens) pc

I'm not really fond of long video tutorials myself that's why I keep my videos short and to the point. As for your question, On OpenToonz, if you click on Windows->Toggle Maximize Panel, (bottom of the menu) the canvas should go full screen. Hope that helps!

What software are you using before? Because I have never heard of this side frame thing before. Not in Toonboom, nor flash, nor spine. Simply just create a level for rough drawings in a separate column and reduce the opacity. That's what I do.

I don't know if this works in Tahoma 2D but if you right-click the frame you'd like to stretch out, there's going to be "Edit Cell Numbers" then select "Time Stretch." You can then select how many frames you'd like to the frame to be stretched. Alternatively, you can select the empty frames you'd like to fill and then right-click then select "Fill Empty Cells" Hope this helps.
