A Beautiful New Landscape for a Special Couple

This is a special project for us. We're installing this new backyard landscape for our niece Julia and her fiancé Chris. They're getting married in a couple months, they just bought this house and we're going to give them a nice oasis to retreat to after work. We will be planting colorful hardy evergreen shrubs, flowering perennials and a beautiful Crape Myrtle. We will be adding a privacy screen for their hot tub, and installing soaker hose irrigation with a timer so they don't have to worry about watering. We finish it off with decorative Delaware stone mulch and a fresh coat of dyed black hardwood mulch. Congratulations Julia and Chris. Best wishes for a long and happy marriage.

isn't the plants a bit close to the house? in a year or three won't they touch the siding?

That might be true if you just planted them and then never took care of them. A little annual trimming will keep them the right size. No need for concern.
