This is my favorite resort of all time. Mainly because its south of the island and the beach is breathtaking NO SEA WEED ISSUES HERE like punta cana has. I have stayed here 3 times. Twice when it was under the brand DREAMS la romana resort and once under Hilton brand in 2019. This property went under a full renovation in 2019 with an addition of a brand new water park behind the spa area and never existed before. Its the same owner but a new Brand with happily the same employees. Having a swim out pool is lovely but at night it is cold 🥶 to use because most aren’t heated. And every time I stayed nobody was using them because the beach is so stunningly perfction. Once you see it you’ll kn..The staff and feel of this resort is luxury. The food was good. The only con I have is that international fights are no longer available at La romana local airport like in the past years which is 5 minutes from the Resort. Now to get to this part of the island you have to fly into punta cana airport which is in a direct Taxi or van service private is expensive and 50 to an hour away or in a shared van with other guest to different resorts will take longer of 2 hours ride. I wish they would open back La Romana airport again and I hope these 5 star resorts apply pressure to have that again like in 2019 and before that. I know the Hilton and casa del compo and the two other dreams properties near by gotta be hurting with the change of airport’s situation. All in all I highly recommend this Resort as well as the few others on the same beach which are luxury resorts

hello, thanks for your review. I called Hilton to ask about Diamond benefits with respect to the Premium areas as I am a Diamond member. They said that I would need to purchase the Premium upgrade for access to the Premium areas and that my Diamond status would not gain entry. It sounds like you had a different experience from what they said on the phone. Are you able to clarify? thank you

Hi Erin, thanks for watching the video. That’s a pity if access rules have changed. We have it in writing from November 2021 that Diamond members get all the premium services including access to private lounge, private pool and private beach area. I suggest to email them or message them on messenger (they have a facebook page). That’s how we got an instant reply listing all the benefits. whatever they listed, we got them all. Try to ask for a complimentary upgrade to premium room so (if there’s availability).

I think I gave tip to 1 or 2 staff. Tipping is not mandatory but I’m sure staff would be delighted if they get some.
