It makes me feel proud when I see others foreigners enjoy themselves either vacationing or staying over. Once again thank you for your precious time; your lovely reviews. • @GetawayGuru

    @GetawayGuru

    Hi BJ, thanks for your note. Easter Island is a fascinating place. The Chilean island was named by Jacob Roggeveen, the first recorded European visitor to the island on April 5, 1722, which so happened to be Easter Sunday. The island is aka as Isla de Pascua and Rapa Nui. There are nearly 900 Moai (these are the big statues) on Easter Island, in various stages of construction. The average size of a Moai statue is 13 feet tall and 14 tons. There rae many theories and ideas as to what purpose of the Moai was, but there doesn;t seem to be universal agreement. The island is largely free of pollution and has some of the cleanest ocean water in the world. Fascinating visit!

    Hi Larry! Great and very informative video. Thinking about visiting the La Romana adult resort soon. Does the resort have a shuttle to and from the airport at no chage? Thanks.

  • @GetawayGuru

    Hi Mark, I'm confident you will enjoy the La Romana as much as I did. Allow 45 minutes to an hour to drive from the Punta Cana Airport to the resort. The hotel does not provide a courtesy shuttle, but most airfare and resort packages do.

    Hi Sandy, I love the Sanctuary Cap all-inclusive resort. In fact, I stayed there in February of this year. It has a vibe, an atmosphere, a feeling about it that is so different from other resorts. Whilst a fairly large resort (not gigantic!), it doesn't have a crowded or rushed feel. In answer to your questions: 1) Swim Out suites are available 2) private pool, usually a plunge pool Thanks for your note and enjoy your stay at The Sanctuary Gap. A great choice in the DR and an easy drive from the Punta Cana airport.

  • @GetawayGuru

    @GetawayGuru

    3 жыл бұрын

    Hi Dr. Bao Tran, thank you for your note. Arrival at the Punta Cana airport was very simple, friendly, and efficient. Typical immigration forms are distributed on your arrival flight, you get in line (which moved very quickly), and in a short time you are through Immigration, pick-up your luggage, and pass through Customs. The whole process works well. The DR is such a wonderful place, especially the people - friendly and anxious to help. The island is a geographic diversity of white sand beaches, jungle, and mountains -- something for everyone. I'm anxious to return.

    A quick question. Am I correct in thinking you are Vietnamese? (Forgive me if I got that wrong.) I have enjoyed my travels in Vietnam and will be returning (God & covid willing) Nov. of this year. I will be visiting Tan Chau, Sa Dec, Xeo Quyt, Cai Be, and Ho Chi Minh City. Perhaps you have also visited this area.
