A Ba’aka (pygmy) guide brings me into their forest full of WILD elephants 🇨🇫[S7-E77]

In this episode, I visit Dzanga Bai, within the Dzanga Sangha national park. This natural place is a haven for wild forest elephant, who come here to dig for mineral rich soil. This is hands down the best place in the world to watch forest elephant in the wild and I can't believe I'm the only visitor there...

@joeysinde1340 you know nothing about that country. Let me enlighten you. During a past civil war, there were skirmishes and guess what? The winners ATE the losers. CANNIBALISM! That was in 2014, when christian militias descended on muslims, killed them and ate them. Most Africans know those details and pray that the animosity in that country will end.

While I was in the US Navy, I had the opportunity to visit Mombasa Kenya in November 1979, just after the American Embassy was overrun in Tehran, Iran. While in Mombasa i signed up for a one-day safari through Tsavo National Park. Elephants, Lions and other big cats were on my list of animals I wanted to see. What I saw was herds of Zebra, Giraffe, Warthogs, Ostriches, one huge Buffalo, and a few other antelope type animals, large and small. No Lions, Leopards, or Cheetahs. Finally, as we were preparing to return to Mombasa, we saw two Elephants but, they were being driven along by a caretaker. Oh, I almost forgot about the Baboons. Some even entered our open top safari vehicle. That was after lunch, and we were headed back out into the Serengeti. A wonderful day seeing the animals we did get to see. Upon leaving Mombasa our battle group was ordered closer to Iran where we spent most of 101 days going in circles before getting into port again in the Philippines.

Noraly, once again you have done some fantastic research on your travels. Surely the Elephant is the most majestic of animals and to see the Forest Elephants in their natural habitat was a wonderful treat. It’s so nice to see the joy on your face after reaping the benefits of the struggles you have endured to get to this place. It was a terrific surprise for all of us to yet again, be treated to the wonder that is Africa. I’m so happy for you to have experienced these things and grateful to you for sharing them with us, you’re SIMPLY THE BEST…❤❤❤Rick

I am left with only about 60 ep. of S6. Currently I am up to date on S7, following your great, highly admirable journeys & incredible treks into the most inhospitable places on Earth. I now watch your videos only on my large screen Sony 4K tv. Your videos comes out magnificently on a full screen (with tks to your professional quality recordind equipment). As a bonus, I output the audio to my Yamaha AV amplifier [Never Miss A Sound]. I hear clearly every sound far & near as you recorded; even the sharp distinctive buzzling of a mosquito. I love the loud rumbling sound of your Honda Rally bike navigating all sorts of terrain through a subwooofer. All these in home comfort while you constantly endure mental & physical torture to bring to us the mystery of places, people, special events, etc Bless you Noraly with lots of love. From Stephen L. Appreciate your motorcycle travels so much as I have motorcycled through 48 states and a fair mount of Mexico and Canada. Sure miss those days! Blessings to you as you travel on!

I made this comment last season during Noraly's trip through the Americas, but it's even more true now. 30-40 years from today, Noraly will be invited to speak somewhere, a university for example, and she will tell the stories of all the amazing places she has visited, all the incredible things she has seen, all the unbelievable experiences she's had and all the wonderful people she has met... and no one would believe that she did all those things, esp when traveling by herself on a motorcycle. But then, someone will inform all those in disbelief that Noraly captured it all on video and shared it for all the world to enjoy and appreciate! God bless you and keep you safe in your traveling adventures, Noraly!!

I personally think that tourism would threaten this site and should be minimized. The infrastructure can't handle it, (roads, boats, etc). The people in the region need the roads for their own transportation of goods and services, and the government should be taxing the hell out of the timber and mining industry for their part in destroying the roads. Timber companies in the US have to pay a heavy road fee for hauling timber. I don't know if the quarries do, but they definitely should all be paying for the repair of the roads based on their heavy usage.

Occasionally I watch another young person Candace Owens deep in NYC jungle full of ‘animals’ of the worst kind. So many have chosen a commercial zoo life dying from bitterness, gender nonsense, “ not knowing the way out”. Too late for them to do what you have done Noraly. I left school at 15yrs and used half of my time making a living and half out amongst people just like you meet along the road. Now retired I spend half my time keeping up my modest home amongst trees etc here in Australia and half my time amidst people broken and lost. If I reach only one or two per year I am happy. Love your journey. Miss my Honda. Miss my family but have found a contentment Candace and her like will never know. But you will.
