"A couple years back, a lot of the young new wave out of Florida saw SpaceGhostPurpp as an idol who kind of put Florida on the map. But then SpaceGhostPurpp and his crew Raider Klan started beefing with A$AP Mob. There were a few conflicts and I think at one point there was a bit of a skirmish with shots fired in the air and cops pulling up after an A$AP show in Florida. Anyway, some people were saying for a while that SpaceGhostPurpp was being an asshole and talking too much shit, but what really pushed it over the edge is when he started talking shit about A$AP Yams after his death. At that point, a lot of the people from Florida that used to fuck with him (or his music at least), like X, basically said fuck it and started beefing with him. So, in my opinion, a lot of the beefing stems from the initial beef between Raider Klan and A$AP Mob. Which is why the song SpaceGhostPussy is also called #RipYams, and in the song you can hear Denzel saying he's a "Raider Klan killa".

Rocky’s whole thing was merging the Houston sound with NY raps. Travis is the modern Houston trapper and also takes heavy influence from that sound. While I’m sure they’ve both consciously and subconsciously influenced the style and trajectory of each other’s careers, I don’t think it’s fair to say either is necessarily biting one or the other when they’re both pulling from the same real OG’s like bun b and 36mafia.
