I have the didun Tiffany quartz nautilus and it’s phenomenal. I paid $30 and it’s such a huge bang for the buck. Maybe I get automatic version in a different color dial. A v2 would be nice with black hands

That would be amazing haha! But also if we could make small changes to them also, date box, the black colored indices like you mentioned, heck at this point just to work with a brand to build the perfect homages and then add our logo/name would be so cool!

I've seen these popping up on Instagram quite a lot, I gotta say that as a brand they do seem to have been making some improvements with their quality & finishing. This one looks pretty cool & I'm sure it'll be a popular one.👍🍻😊

I currently am wearing a 1967 Seiko 5, 6119-7000 which I bought in working condition, but covered with crud and a scratched up "crystal" from a thrift store. A good cleaning and sanding/polishing of the crystal and it now looks great. The Didun looks great, but I wouldn't wear it with black tie, but you didn't say if your event was black tie. A 2 bills, I'd be more inclined to got to Seiko or Tissot, but I see these can be had for a lot less if you look.

I have the exact same watch. However, I am not going to even mention the PP @Tiffany dial on the same sentence, but the DIDUN is a very fun watch to wear. It cost less than a Tissot and a Seiko. The specs are decent for the price. 👍 Also the video quality is top notch. 💪

Nice! I know I'm taking a risk using the verbiage all together but yes, scratches that itch for the watch many of us will never see let alone own haha. I think its a great looking watch and hopefully they'll make another version with some updates in the future. Cheers! 😎👍🍻

@@DavidSchwartzjr I think they do have the version with the Sapphire glass but it is more expensive. You will have to contact DIDUN directly. I also have the blue version of that watch, that way, I don't have to wear my patek on a daily basis. 😉

Always been interested in that watch, but as a quartz guy I'll get that version either from Didun or Lxige that seem to sport the same specs, probably in green though. Baby blue looks good, but I believe I'd tire of it over time. Wearing a black and red Speedo digital today, very hot here so comfort was paramount when I picked it for the day. Cool video, thanks!

Great review, thank you, David. I have defended homage watches in the past. I own one (Steinhart OVM). But if I'm being honest with myself, and as good looking as this watch is, I personally will not wear one. Every time I'd look down at it, I'd say to myself "Ugh, it's not a 5711, it's not a 5711". Am I a bit of a hypocrite? You bet. Now, if I saw someone wearing one, I would definitely compliment them on their purchase and ask questions. What that says, I have no idea. What am I wearing? A DJ smooth bezel I started wearing again. Was going to sell it and get an Omega SMP300m, but hasn't happened yet.

Glad you enjoyed it, Scott! I can completely understand and relate. I would not have felt this way about homages though until after buying and owning some fairly heavy hitting pieces (at least in my opinion). I have worn this one out for sure but there is always that desire in the back of my mind to be wearing one of my other core pieces. All for fun though, being out at the beach or the pool, I'd definitely rock it hehe. Love those looks of the DJ with the smooth bezel! I also love the Omega SMP300 haha, so if you decide to sell the DJ and grab it I am sure you'll be happy with that. 😎👍🍻 Cheers my friend!

Discrepancies from the company site to the actual product is a little off-putting. They list sapphire, but it's not. They list screw down, but it's not. And a trivial difference. The website shows the proper black frame around the date window. Who knows what the water rating really is. Is it a number they just threw out there? Also, the price is the same whether you're paying American or European money. Not really fair to the people in Europe. I'll bet that "50% off sale ends tomorrow" banner is still there next week. Can't wait for that B&R review. That brown dial is really nice and unique.

Yeah that Tiffany blue is a color that has to be just right. There are so many versions out there that lean more towards teal or aqua. Maybe I’m just color blind but it’s hard for me to tell unless I put it side by side with the exact Tiffany blue color. 😅

Not only the US and Eastern Europe buy watches. Were I live the PRX costs half a year of income for the average Joe, that's a lot of money to spend on a watch because of "heritage" when the nautilus homage costs ten times less with more than acceptable build quality. They are not targeting the same people. You find a Tissot cheap, but that's not the case for everyone.

Yeah, I know what you mean, but I do prefer the text versus just a logo or a sterile dial but that’s just me. I’m glad it didn’t say Geneve or something like that though lol

I bought one from turkey and not working at all. I paid extra %35 taxes because of turkish goverment and I have only garbage on my hand. movement is not seagull or something this is big lie.
