The only thing that broke it was them saying “repeat”- that’s such a hollywoodism, we use the phrase “say again” as “repeat” is only used in the context of artillery and fire missions

@@adamwilson4629 I think if it as meaning Bullseye - I’ve heard it is originally from bomber pilots who as part of their training would practice their bombing runs trying to hit crudely built targets that were essentially shacks. But maybe you’re just jerking my chain…

As a guy that used to deal with CAS and CCA I’ve always thought about how you never coordinated with a JTAC when engaging ground targets in previous videos. It was pretty cool that you had the transmissions from ground in this video

I like the idea, but the story sounds overcomplicated because the A-10 is mostly used when air superiority has been applied. If there's a chance for another enemy aircraft, it should be fighters to deploy too, and maybe enemy fighters too... it could escalate quickly to a different mission :) BUT, GS still could sit in an A-10 and protect the ground while some fighter pilot is forcing the airspace control, so I'm still like your idea.

Most especially love the WW1 flying. You are so sympathetic while killing the other guy. If it were me - I'd always be flying the F-22. I hate losing. 🙂

You have to love the night time disrespectful flares of the A-10 as it flies over the smoking remains. A true art form!

I love these A10 videos. My brother (although originally a Brit) had a lot to do with the development/testing of the A10, I'll never forget when he came back to visit the UK and handed me a very large and extremely heavy lump of metal - a 30mm depleted-uranium round (I have no idea how he got it through customs), He retired as a full colonel in the USAF. Gone now, I'm afraid - RIP, Pete.

My two all time favorite jets are the A-10 and the F-22. A-10 was an absolute killer at the air show. And I have mad respect for their dedication to ground troops. When an A-10 charges in you know they have your back. As for the F-22, I would watch them fly every day at Langley AFB. The things those jets can do… watching them practice and out perform anything and everything. Floating like a leaf through the wind. Nothing sounds quite like a Raptor. I have a feeling there’s probably still things that jet can do that we don’t know about. Amazing aircraft.

Thank you for mentioning the Restrictive ROE. To us grunts on the ground the ROE is as big an enemy as the people shooting at us. We love the "hog" and would love to see more content. Thanks GS!

11:00 Arrival of an A-10 showing off its GAU-8 has got to be truly TERRIFYING for anyone foolish enough to not abandon their vehicles.

You know... If i were in a technical and i shot at an A10 and didnt down it, i'd run. I'd jump out, grab a thermal blanket and RUN.

That's a beautiful thing getting a negative on that restrictive ROE

A10 vids are my favourite, love these types of danger close air support. A10 and two-man missions with Longshot.

Yup, it's missions like this why A-10s are still needed. Dropping a bomb that close would have killed friendlies. Very awesome video. 🙂

And Stormbreaker has a smaller warhead than Maverick, so less potential for fragging nearby friendlies. The A-10 is cool but note how GS has cuts in his video between attacks. The A-10 takes a long time to climb back to altitude.

If you press TMS up while you’re in air to air and your hud is SPI your 9s will do a little circle on the hud and will lock and track targets better than just bore sighting them.

You should do a video on all your equipment. I.e. joystick, throttles, VR ect. And how they work during flight. Give an opinion on a good setup for firat time flight simulators that would like to have a good system they only have to buy once but is still fun and easy to learn ect. Ok, maybe a video series. Lol

Absolutely love seeing videos of my favorite CAS Aircraft. It's satisfying to pull the trigger in a gun run. However, in my opinion, hearing the gun from the ground followed by the flyby with the unique sound of it's engines is even more satisfying. makes me want to get back into DCS with my own A-10C.

DCS Video idea: MiG-15bis vs MiG-15bis, during the early Cold War (1950’s) you have to intercept a pilot who is trying to desert to the West but you both end up in a dogfight. It would be a good test of skill since you’re both in the same plane
