@ 10:35 On the Right Console, actually there are one or two panels that are useful in the A-10A model: The first one is the ECM panel, right under the Warning Lights panel. When you're carrying a jammer and you activate it, a few lights in it will turn on, indicating the jammer is working. It's weird this panel is not sitting next to the RWR. The other useful panel is the Countermeasures display, but its further down on the console. It displays how many chaffs and flares you're carrying.

thx
Cap, @3:20 the Angle of Attack Indicator only seems wrong but it's not, because the unit system it uses is not actual angular degrees. Units of AoA have a very peculiar correlation with actual angles that I personally never understood very well why is that. But the "AoA" indication on the External View Status Bar is using actual angular degrees for displaying that data, I don't know for what reason that is - I believe it's because it's more comprehensive and trivial. But this is something that can be confirmed using different aircraft as well, to test the consistency of that. For instance, the recommended AoA for a landing with the A-10 would be around 18~20 Units of AoA (as shown in the cockpit gauge). Another aircraft that has a recommended AoA for landing around 20~22 units of AoA is the F-15. And you can notice when you're about to touchdown that you never ever flare the aircraft so much that you see it's nose pointing like 20 degrees up, it's more likely around 8~10 degrees nose up on a very well done flare and very gentle touchdown. If you were to flare the aircraft that much, you'd pretty sure tail strike it on your landings - or even worse: you'd hit the engine nozzles on the ground even before the main landing gear touches it. So, TL,DR: The AoA Indicator gauge in the cockpit is not wrong, it just uses a very peculiar Unit System, like pretty much every other aircraft does.
“Low fligwlslity aircraft” Don’t worry we all do it
I recently decided to get into dcs and I the FC3 decided and your video great. The f15 and a10 tutorials are great
I bought the A10A and A10C so that way i could learn the A first and then progress to the C later on. Hopefully it's a decent idea

Same but I haven’t gotten the c yet
@3:44 You showed us the Backup ADI. But right next to it, to the left, there is a knob you skipped in the video, that is actually quite important. That is the Master Mode Knob. When you switch between Nav Master Mode or Ground Attack modes such as CCIP, CCRP and Guns, that knob will turn around to the corresponding position, and that's how you know which mode you're currently on when you want to bomb something, for instance. Side Note: One thing I personally dislike about the A-10's (and this applies to both A and C models) point of view in the cockpit is that it seems to me that it's in a very weird position, and because of that weird position, a few of the instruments on the upper portion of the Front Console get occluded by the glare shield under the hud. It looks like the pilot is flying with his head almost poking through the console. His head is directly above the Flight Stick, as if he's sitting there with his elbows resting on his knees, like a lazy sitting posture. No pilot would ever sit like that in a real aircraft, because his body would be strapped to the Seat Belt and Harness

Try the "proper neck mod" available via DCS forums. You can always adjust your POV via the keys mentioned in the mods thread OP (iirc / and * on numpad for zoom and save it via AltRight + numpad 0. Didn't do it for a while so don't nail me on the correct keys.)

@@brpprp6198 :O Oh, thanks, man. I'm taking a look at it right away. I know about the default key bindings for adjusting the neutral head position in cockpit, but I don't like using them because it doesn't fix the issue with the HUD symbology becoming unreadable by simply moving the virtual head back to the correct position. I'm gonna search for this mod right now. Thanks. =)
Not that it matters or that its a correction but the a-10s engine are used in my favorite regional jet. The CRJ :D as the CF34, civilian variant of the TF34

Cool! I didnt know that
cheers Cap, it helps
FYI, the fans are not controllable separately from the core, and they are not geared down. There are two separate turbines driven by the hot gases coming out of the core. The first fan turns the compressor stages for core. The second one turns the fan. The two are not connected in any way. Also, the temp gauges read the temperture between the two turbines.

In addition, there are two wings tanks (left and right) and two fuselage tanks. I don't recall offhand which one is which, but the left engine is fed from one of the two fuselage tanks and the left wing tank and the right engine from the other fuselage tank and the right wing tank. So the left and right are not just the wing tanks but include the associated fuselage tank, unless you select different settings. There is also a total fuel digital readout in the upper part of the guage.
your a legend thank you christ and grim reaper may you fly safely and make others flights deadly mwhahaha
Thank Heaven's I found these videos as there are no training missions in FC3 pack for anything other than Russian aircraft.
I love the clickable FC3 mod, doesn’t quite hit the same as the A10C or the hornet or other full fidelity but, still nice
Actually, on the right panel you can see if your ECM pods are activated
A-10 unrelated, but during your missions and campaigns, how extensively do you use F10 and what settings do you guys use for it?

Hi. Quick Question: what measurement system is used for the HUD? Knot's, Kilometres or miles?
@grimreapers

Knots and Nautical miles for all US planes.
Since I am new to military sims, which aircraft is better for new players? The Su-33 or the A-10?
@jojojoost11

It really depends on what you want to do in DCS. I'm a relatively new player and I love the A-10 for air to ground stuff. The Su-33 is multirole and carrier based. Both planes should be easy to learn and operate for a beginner. If you want to do both air to ground and air to air you should go for the Su. If just air to ground is good enough for you, go for the A-10.
high finedilty ... high findeltiy .... high fidnitly ... ahh fuckit .
What is the easiest plane which comes with DCS to use for beginners in DCS with VR? I use VTOL often but want to try out DCS, but it looks that the A-10A is very complicated.
Call me a noob, but I actually prefer the 1-10a over the C.
5:08 Ref :- HUD.....I noticed a switch 2 aboce UHF moved in the different modes.
video is outdated at this point. pretty sure its been updated to high fadelity

Nope , still non interactive
So I was looking on fiverr and there is no one who offers DCS lessons. I would be willing to pay someone for help. I have limited experience in dcs and would love someone to help me with controls. I only have a joystick and recently spent all I had for gaming on driving sim stuff and vr. I am just having a hard time with setup. Going back and forth between vr and my keyboard are really bothering my eyes.

Bought this yesterday and refunded it the textures in the cockpit were horrible it stuck out like a sore thumb. Also this module has zero training missions and only 1 instant action scenario. Not worth the £11.21
