9to5less Arrival At Nine Hundred Dollar Luxury Yacht Club

The Nine Hundred Dollar Luxury Yacht Club welcomes our newest members, Trevor and Jess from the youtube channel 9to5less. In a world long ago, the pandemic was just starting. They drove an old, dismasted catamaran 1,200 miles down the intercoastal waterway, mostly in winter with a plywood door that didn't keep the cold breeze out. They had seen suffering on a boat but were still up for adventure. They seemed like the perfect cruising buddy boat to travel with because suffering is a likely side effect of my cruising style.
They were going to park their boat here and rebuild my fallen down dock. We were going to rebuild their boat to be more comfortable for living aboard while cruising. We all had plans for the future and life was grand. Trevor and Jess were going to quarantine on their boat until it had been two weeks since any of us had contact with anyone else, forming our own quarantine bubble.
The next morning, cops showed up. Someone had complained that the neighborhood is not zoned for people living on boats at the dock. Trevor and Jess went home, and split up soon after. I had apparently caught COVID while shopping for enough groceries to hide in my house through the pandemic, and I got sick soon after they left.
It is now a year later and the catamaran is still in my back yard. Hopefully Trevor can get the vaccine soon and come back to fix his boat. Jess offered to come and help me finish the dock. My cat died during the pandemic. I have boards nailed over the doors and windows to keep the zombies out, and have not left the house for a year. The internet still works, so I can tell that there are still some youtubers who have survived out there somewhere. Meanwhile, I am going a little more crazy each day.
No I'm not
Yes you are, you know that you are
I'm as sane as you are
Thats exactly what I'm talking about.
HEY! Are you two typing to each other in the comments again?
No - We're not
I can see you typing because I'm you
OK, we'll knock it off for now, but we'll be back!

Summer is approaching fast. Not sure how much work can be done on the boats before leaving for the keys or Bahamas if they even let Americans into their country now. I think most of the work on the catamaran will have to wait until after we return from cruising in July or August.

We will see more of Trevor but I doubt he will return for his boat. I enjoyed the boat adventure. Jess made what has been another boat channel interesting. I wonder if she will show up on social media again? Your Nine Hundred Luxury Yacht channel is going to be one of my regular boating channels. Your channel reminds me of zoffinger & Finding Simon two of my favorites.

Check out youtube channel Fun Bubbles, I think Jess will be posting on there in a while. I hope Trevor comes back for the boat. Florida is a title state so I can't register or drive it unless Trevor sends me a signed title. It could be one of those "free boat" ads on craigslist though, someone near me recently gave away a boat that had been tied to their dock for months and a neighbor offered to buy Trevor's outboard. I also enjoy zoffinger and finding simon.

I didn't know you have had corona it can't be that bad then if you didn't even mention it until now or i missed that bit, it's a crying shame how some neighbors get so jealous because some one else looks to be having fun just because you've got visitors and they don't have i could hear the excitement in your voice for having them there anyway thanks again stay safe Cheers

I had COVID almost a year ago. There was a stretch when I didn't post new videos for a while. It was just before the time my cat had the feeding tube coming out of his neck (the cat got sick at the same time and recently died). I was sick for six weeks. It started as a sore throat and was full-blown within a few days. I am an American, so hospital turned me away because my insurance was not that good. I administered oxygen to myself from a tank from a metal cutting torch, using a nasal canula from the plane. It was impossible to sleep because of feeling hot and cold and sweating through the sheets every night. The worst of it passed in two weeks but i was laid up for six weeks in all.

Honestly, I watched Jess an Trevor an Ka Kaw. Motoring thru the winter with that hero of a trolling motor. Always in my head wondering where the end wud be. During their journey an my journey of watching each week. I lost everything to fire. An we became homeless. The dream of sailing, living on a sailboat. An watching my favorite channels... Kept me going seeing Trevor's unending motoring thru coldness an uncomfortable conditions. With no real seamanship. Trevor an Jess powered on their journey picking up experience as they traveled.. as I was struggling with my new reality my autistic son scared by the fire then a week later covid hit lock down.. now the world we struggle together. I am grateful an positive that the end of this journey is soon to be at a close.. 🤞🏻🤞🏻... Just like Ka-Kaw made it to ur dock , we will out live this pandemic. We will because we are smart an strong. I will be watching your channel an subbing too!! ✌🏻💗😊❣️ P.S. I had covid-19 an I had the night time sweats an miserable headaches, no sleep still an it's been 2 months since. Same as you we don't leave our motel rm accept to get food! I wear my mask because my health isn't a political issue it's a medical one... Lol !!! My husband was very sick but is better now... At this point I just want boat life. I miss the Ocean . My son wud love seeing the se life..... Anywhooo sorry I wrote a book hon! Thanks, Donna from Baltimore City Maryland! ✌🏻💗😊❣️

Check out some of the first videos on my channel. The channel got its name from that sailboat I bought for $900 and fixed up to live aboard. The lady who bought it could not afford $1,000 a month to rent an apartment so she got the boat as a place to live. Dockage was $10 per foot, so she could keep the sailboat at the marina for $250 per month which included electricity, access to a laundry, bathrooms and showers ashore, plus parking for her car.

New to the channel, having followed Trev and Jess here. I have a hobby of geolocating videos and historic photos in Google Earth/Maps/Streetview ...being both an amateur aviator and cartophiile as well as follower of the sailing/nautical channels on KZread. It took a non-trivial amount of effort to find the Yacht Club, nearly three or four hours. Of course I shan't disclose to anyone, but it was entertaining piecing together clues from various sources. @@globbyjunior862 Yes, this video was taken a year ago. Thats when they finally made it to the place where the catamaran stayed through the pandemic. You can see the dock is fallen down when this video was recorded. Some of my other videos show the rebuilding of the dock during the pandemic. I rebuilt most of the dock myself, and Trevor went on another epic journey which will probably begin on his channel shortly. I think regular viewers of his channel will love it. The new adventure involves crossing thousands of miles in a vehicle that is extremely poorly suited to the journey. There are epic landscapes, interesting places, and suffering. Lots of suffering. I got the impression from Trevor's videos that many of his viewers tune in to watch him suffer. I shouldn't give away any specific details, but viewers who like long journeys and suffering will not be disappointed.

Not many ladies living aboard boats. There are a lot of stories like "we moved aboard the boat and she left me". Very few stories about how I moved aboard a boat and this nice lady wanted to stay in there with me. Most live aboard boats don't have air conditioning, normal running water, or a decent place to cook or go to the bathroom. She did real well with the suffering. A real gem
