The Doctor’d had no reason to use the phone up to that point, but the TARDIS, being basically a being of time itself, conformed to the Doctor’s needs either in the moment or by looking to the future upon it’s regeneration.

“Nice to meet you Rose! Run for your life!!” First episode I saw, that was the moment I knew he was such a great character. Sad Eccleston didn’t get but one season, but for the amount of time he played the Doctor… he was fantastic!

I think it's better if the occasional line of dialogue refers to an adventure we never get to see. It's important to maintain the Doctor's sense of mystery.

It's from classic who. I believe it was the first doctor and they lost the footage but you can find the sound file still.
It’s odd to watch him, now knowing he was the very NEXT regeneration after the war doctor. This man must be dealing with all kinds of inner turmoil over the belief he ended his entire species. Like damn the context just reaffirms him as my fav

Although his time on the show was short, I can safely say that Christopher Eccleston's Doctor is one of my favorite Incarnations of the character.
He might not be as popular as David Tennant but we still love him
Loved this version of the Doctor just wishing we had more time with him in the TARDIS

He looked at the Eye of London four times before he saw what Rose saw. Fantastic. Then when that Dr. Constantine's face transformed into a gas mask . . . terrifying.

I always liked how Ninth Doctor was not over-dramatic or too quirky. He was humorous, but it came across as natural.
i love how they hint other episodes from back then, need to be a truly dedicated to see those. back when doctor who got a natural sense of humour..

My favorite part is how you can hear everything else going on in the room where they were recording these clips.

i really wish he had kept the cat from the start of The Empty Child, it would've been a fantastic companion. It could even have been turned into a gasmask zombie and then the stakes go up exponentially.

The TARDIS regenerated itself to include actual an actual phone once wireless become a widely-used thing. :)

@@theamericanyoutuber … Allow me to translate? The TARDIS regenerates itself, ending up with features that it may not have had before. The Doctor’d had no reason to use the phone up to that point, but the TARDIS, being basically a being of time itself, conformed to the Doctor’s needs either in the moment or by looking to the future upon it’s regeneration.
I Really cant believe when I first learned that Billie was just 19 when she first starred in DW. She looked at least 24.

He's the best of the New Who Doctors. Matt Smith is my favourite but his overall era wasn't as good. Chris Ecclestone's era was as close to perfection as New Who ever got.

Nine is absolutely my favorite of the New Who Doctors. I don't know if it was the best era, but I absoultley adore Eccleston.

i think for the gas mask one, it was to show the reference when 10 asked the general “are you my mummy?”! and as for the eviction scene i think the funny part was supposed to be *after* when he was being snarky about it and all/g
