I am 14 years old and welded since 13 and I have an old Mosa MS170 engine driven stick welder that was made in Italy in 1973 and are very rare these days and that thing could go from 70 - 170 amps. And people my age are going to have to eventually replace the old people and almost all the people my age only show interest in computers and do not realize the good and fun that comes out of welding.

i’m 14 and i started welding about a couple weeks ago, the welding teacher and the advanced student says i’m good enough to pass at the college! i love the environment of it welding is so fun i can’t wait to learn more! (plus we need more women in the welding industry!)

I started about 1 year ago and I am good enough to pass an inspection with the strength of the welds I make.

You definitely are correct about the fact that we need more women in the welding industry but we also need more kids in general

@@lukasncolin6604 We actually have a welding class! a few different ones too! our school does really well with the competitions winning thousands and dollars worth of welding gear ☺️ the teacher is amazing and such a kind guy, but holds us up to extremely high standards, i’m about to break the 7 year record the fastest anyones ever passed an assignment (four weeks) and i’m on week two and i think they’ll pass me tomorrow!! i just started welding a couple weeks ago, and now i’m about to pass college standers welds ! it’s crazy i love it sm i think i found my thinggg

I am 60. I took a welding course 18 years ago to learn to use my grandfather's acetylene torch kit. Might take a 200 hour course so that I have something new to learn.

This kind of changes my perspective. I stop welding 18 years ago and I'm 67 now and I was thinking of going back to welding, but my back's messed up I have diabetes and these guy is healthy after all those years welding it didn't affect his lungs or anything.. wow!!!! 😲😲

On the farm he is still welding.

I took a basic welding class long ago. I remember the teacher owned his own welding business. He wanted to teach days, but the schools told him he needed to get a master's in education to do it.

I took a cnc class earlier this year and the teacher was telling us that he taught a 75 year old guy to use the Haas cnc mill. I was ok, but not too good at it.
