It helps to protect the skin from sun damage and people with darker skin tone will show aging less. For instance someone who is 60 can look like they're in their 40s especially if they don't live a harsh life. You can clearly see that although this lady is nearing 100, she does not look like it, especially in her face. You barely see any lines or wrinkles in her face. That's the power of Melanin for those who don't know.

She is the youngest looking 90+ year old that I've ever seen.

Early sixties...she had cancer..I feel young to have lost my mom already, but some people never knew their mom or had terrible moms, so I feel so incredibly blessed I had my sweet momma as long as I did :)

She's unbelievably healthy for her age. It's incredible how mobile she is and how dexterous her hands are, as well as how quick-witted she is.

This is a beautiful thing!! Her mind her body her spirit her heart and her smile are infectious!! Would love to sit and listen to her adventurous wisdom!.♥️♥️♥️ GOD IS STILL IN THE BLESSING BUSINESS!!!:

I’m a nursing assistant and my patients range in ages from 20-40-80’s and I am just so satisfied to see this woman taking care of herself still using the functionalities that God blessed her with. I hope to be like her at that age 😍🙏🏽

@@Oneartis Focusing on what? Lifestyle is exactly what I stated she should write about: how she has lived her life. What does she eat, how does she spend her days, what does she worry about, what was her childhood like, what have her relationships been like, does she drink, does she have a spiritual life, etc. So many people have veered off in such unnatural directions (processed food diet, chronic stress, lack of physical activity, etc) that of course they've become unhealthy. We could certainly learn a few things from her and others like her, and find out what some of the common denominators are. I enjoy learning about people's lives. Unfortunately I can't personally talk to her or most others around the world like her, but I could read about her quite easily. Granted some of it is probably due to good genes, but I'm certain her lifestyle has had a lot to do with her good health and longevity. What's wrong with learning from others so that we can improve our own lives? Of course, it'd be up to us whether or not to implement any of her lifestyle choices. She seems like a very nice lady who'd enjoy sharing her good fortune and life stories with others.

1:42 that's actually the most important aspect in maintaining your health. Social interaction. And the pandemic did not provide that for the lonely old people at home. My grandma was affected heavily by this, without that mental stimulation from seeing her friends her health declined and she got Alzheimer's. She probably won't live much longer. I think it would be a great idea to find ways to help people like her who don't have access to socialization and are negatively impacted by that.

Lol While a healthy lifestyle can definitely keep you feeling better longer, in the end, your genes are going to kick your ass just like it did your parents, grandparents and everyone before you. My dad's grandparent's both lived into their mid-90's after a life dedicated to tobacco, alcohol, rich foods and, lol, all of those strong chemicals we didn't know full well about until much later in the century. Both sets of mom's grandparents did exactly the same and they lived to their late 80s. If most everyone in your family dies at 70, then no matter how well you live, you're probably going to meet the same fate.

Well said Esther. The daughter is one fortunate woman. To have a mother at her age is something else. Not to mention one who you can turn to when life get tricky. Wow

L MG yes girl! I was looking how she had the paper wrapped around the hair that she combed very well! I still don’t know how to use those rollers and pins and I’ve been doing hair for years! GOD BLESS HER 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

That is so great! Good for her! I’m so glad she is doing this still, and I bet that is what helps her stay so healthy ❤️ never would have guessed she is 99 years old.
