They need to implement the trap changes ASAP from testing grounds, nothing but good feedback came from that, make that change asap and then focus on more tweaks later but that change alone will do wonders

I think Nuxia is so rarely played because of the reputation she has garnered as one of the worst heroes in the game. Speaking as someone who tried to main her for a solid 4 months and got her to a healthy rep 10, I just couldn't continue playing her out of pure frustration. Her kit is so unique compared to everyone in the game and when she works it's one of the best feelings in the world, but with how jank her mechanic is and how often it gets you to eat a raw heavy on a consistent basis eventually every Nuxia player just kind of gets tired of it and stops playing her. Once you start getting to the higher parts of the average MMR and lower MMR player lobbies you really start to notice just how rough her kit is and how unfunctional she is against good players who just literally don't fall for her mechanics. She's fun, but only if you are average and in average MMR lobbies. She just doesn't work against players who don't react to indicators and can react to animations and I think that's why she's gotten such an abysmal reputation because it is partially deserved at high MMR and high tier player games, but against average players? Nah, she can slap sometimes. But that's a really, really bad look for a hero when part of her reputation is also being that she only works against players who aren't good at the game on top of her jank.

I got her almost 60 reps and just keeping it short she’s not a scary character to fight,she can hardly contribute to a team fights, her traps you don’t have to respect unless you have a crush and she feeds a ton of revenge on a miss trap. Only saving grace is her feats.

Nuxia has become one of my favorite heroes to play unfortunately she can be light attacked out of most her combos and traps. After her TG where they delayed the trap by 100ms it was a good buff but I think she needs more (Being able to dodge cancel traps if they miss, having the traps work as a crushing counter so that way if someone throws and early attack they'll still get hit with a trap making it more of a read instead, increasing the zone speed and hit trajectories on it, and maybe adding an undodgeable as her last hit chain but I don't think she needs it, and this is just me but adding a passive debuff to defense if she lands, a trap like how Nobu does more damage if you're bleeding, and for GOODNESS SAKES ALL ASSASSINS SHOULD BREAK ARMOR IF THEY LAND A DEFLECT!) She's a great hero that doesn't need a full rework just little buffs to help her out. Thanks for coming to my TED talk

I think I'm one of the few that has mained her for quite a long time, I think i originally picked her because she was such a rare pick, and now ive got 30 reps on her. I always find that wherever I come across someone else playing nuxia, they are either brand new to the character and only have a couple reps and then no doubt end up dropping her, or they've mained them since day one and are in the high reps, I never come across people in that middle rep 10 bracket. Not to brag but I always tend to do well with her, and can end up on the top of the scoreboard. However, she's not a character that you can really carry with, you somewhat need to have teammates that know what they are doing or can play other roles like clearing mid for example. Her mid clear isnt bad (fastest is light, light, zone btw), but its not as good as certain character's. However, once you get her tier 2 this has a unique use on certain maps, as you can place these near enemies spawn and then essential keep mid whilst not needing to be there. Her traps do work as ganks, if you are getting external blocked and you land it, but then you need a teammates that knows to wait until after you part has hit, like shamans bite, also her zone trap is even better damage for this but its so slow that it rarely works, snd both of these have lots of ways to be avoided like simply external dodging away. I maybe in the minority here but I think her recent TG changes to speed up her trap basically did nothing, sure put it in the live game and it will be nice, but you can still beat them by doing so many things like light attacking, throwing heavies at certain timing etc etc, I disagree that those changes are going to shoot her straight up to A tier. The majority of players didn't react to her old traps, so the new ones they still wont be able too. I know some people say that you can just bait people and parry the light, true and you've always been able to do this, but you're basically jist admitting that these traps dont work. Plus for us consolians and people without amazing reactions, you almost have to predict they are going to throw a light especially in 4s, where latency can be more of an issue and they can do even more things to beat this, whereas obviously in 1s its easier to reactbto everything but for the most lart the game isnt balances around this. Rant over, guess I had some things to get off my chest but I hope there was some useful stuff in there for you Craic 😂 P.s. feats T1 I personally prefer Bounty Hunter for the survivability, but Deadly Duet I see lots of other people run if you struggle winning a 1v1 with her, T2 Caltrops is a no brainer, T3 Slip Through you can actually use to synergize with her caltrops so they do more damage and so do her other attacks. T4 Infection this is just a worse version of warmongers, but can still be good if you are fighting somewhere cramped or on a point. Also if you care, perks, beat imo is Headhunter, Endurance and Devourer. But if you want to have some fun I also enjoy running Early Reaper, Crush them and Endurance as this makes her damage insane if they arent paying attention 😂

Nuxia's the first hero I've gotten Rep 70 with. She's a beast. I do think her traps need more work, but it doesn't matter what people say. I enjoy how she plays and had tons of fun.

Hilariously enough Nuxia's chained zone is really good at catching dodge attacks and does 28 damage normally, or 32 if you run her unique tier 1 and it's active. It's also a nice tool for catching people who go for heavy parries too much.

Honestly just ganks and team fights that kill her for me plus I hate the fact they made her attacks make you not be able to block which is the first thing you learn how to do but if her caltrops did only damage to her enemies and not her teammates that'd be pretty nuts

I’ve seen more ppl play nuxia than raider 😂

I like nux a lot (shes the only wulin i like) but 2 things keep me from playing her, shes made of paper and i dont play assassins because of the useless season one era reflex guard. Its not fun getting bufu'd in two seconds when you make one gank mistake. Oh also in 4's her missed traps feed a TON of revenge, like way too much.

Fair issues

I love nuxia but she just LACKS. Her offense is mid with low damage lights and the traps... they just light through. They need to implement the testing grounds changes (no idea why they haven't done yet) and consider more buffs, more reasons to play, cuz this character is super ignored.

i just find her stiff to play. like she isn't able to move how she looks like she should. Like seriously, how have they not given her dodge recovery cancel on a missed trap?

...on forge why didn't you just backcap and pull them off home and possibly b. Doesn't mean you have to stay sometimes assassin's are good bait. Map awareness my man.

At 04:50 I'm blocked by 2 players and minion lane At 06:00 you need to try break mid first with enemy distracted then move to back cap. I was a few seconds too slow to start rotating to back cap otherwise I would have done mid and backcap push. More time on nuxia would have meant I farm minions faster there. At 07:20 game is over. It's triple cap and team low hp on home point. Not enough time to back cap due to respawns. To break mid here I would need to immediately go there off spawn but you also need a little time to process what's happening on map. Points generation of mid is the strongest in dominion, overpowered atm. Generally speaking, if enemy team is fighting your team you'll want to break mid prior to back cap if mid is along the way and uncontested. You can also just straight up go for backcap but obviously if you end up just stalling on it or losing eventually without capping (enemy team is 4v3 on map and winning all fights Vs your solo Q teamates) you've let them keep the mid point's generation on mid the entire time when you could have broken or help break it along the way. Especially with teamates dying quickly. This is a solo q situation ofc. There's a certain amount of randomness to opponent and team play around you. Ty for the comment, feel free to timestamp any mistakes or things you feel I did wrong, makes it easier for me to spend time replying or addressing it.

For 6:00 I would recommend half capping letting minions finish and run backcap. At that point that warmonger would have 1 of 2 options run through minions or grab mid something s being taken for points by you. And I saw the zerk in hall at that you could have baited 2 potential enemies away from your already struggling team have them the chance they needed while. Also a little to aggressive Sometimes you gotta dance with your enemies not just fight and draw it out so your 3 mates can fight the 2. I can 100% understand your sentiments on your team tunneling home quite unfortunate. Love talking strategy. I'm the type that thinks 1million things mid fight. Lots of recordings and reviews lol. Always improving my strategy.

Thanks so much for your input man, I'll def consider skipping mid to draw opponents out a little more, especially in solo q. I love mid game judgement calls and game sense aswell so I totally get you. Thanks for timestamping it!

I think the issue with Nuxia isnt balance or gameplay related at all. The simple fact is that, no matter the game, if a character is boring in design, people wont play em. Nuxia, despite her good fashion, is aesthetically the most boring character in the game. Of course, before Nuxia mains get mad, that is in comparison to shit like Lawbringer, Valkyrie, Kensei and other really nice designs all throughout. Her design is nice, its just that everything else simply looks better. Not to mention her voice can be annoying. Model size may also have something to do with it. Shinobi has a similar issue. They look tiny, small, frail. Berserkers gets away with it by being muscular as fuck, Orochi gets away with it by having very nice looking armor to pull your eyes away from his size, but Shinobi and Nuxia have nothing to pull your eyes away from the fact that they look like slim, tiny weaklings fighting on a battlefield full of muscledudes, armored tanks and war mommies. The point is, aesthetics matter a LOT no matter how impartial you think you are to how your own character looks. EVERYONE subconsciously picks the character they think looks coolest and avoids the ones they think looks bad.

I enjoy "boring designs the most" as they stay true to core game unlike new bs with recovery on recovery and shitstack of openers/ha switching to new characters after 5 hrs of lb cbt makes you feel like you have parryscript

@@alarminglyfastmovingskelet7289 Nobushi's weapon and headgear pull the eye away from her smaller frame. And her ass. Nobushi got a fatty. This also reminds me of another point. This also applies to Shinobi. The fact that Nuxia and Shinobi's weapons are so small, slim and unnoticeable definitely adds onto the boringness factor. Especially with Shinobi, as his weapons are so incredibly small that it doesn't even make sense to customize them, as nobody will ever see them close enough to appreciate the difference between the default sickles and the most highly detailed ones. This is a problem with pretty much all the characters with smaller weapons. PK, Nuxia, Shaman, all of em have varying levels of issue with their weapons being too small and out of the way for anyone to care what they look like.

I dont like Nuchia. I think this characters emerged from a time when For Honor Deves were trying to inovate the game. Traps are an attempt of inovation, but traps are really garbage. Traps is still an exclusive mechanic, but other characters may have it as well, following the same logic whats happened with every exclusive mechanic in the game. It does not fit well in the game. Nuchia also lackes of personalit, she is not interesting.

Playing nuxia is about sending a message..... I play 4 fun.
