you are correct. The main purpose of face up dribbling is to keep the ball close to our feet. There's no need to dance around. Just slowly dribbling the ball into the empty space. Wait for the moment when the opponent approach. and the you just dribble the ball in the direction that the opponent loses balance.

I did his advise and still get beaten by the defenders 😂

This helped me get my first ever rank 1 finish 19-1. I was consistent 14-16 wins player before that but couldn't go a step above no matter what. Thanks!

@@rapha1573 its not the same, l1 is for protecting the ball, and you're not as fast as holding r1, a typical scenario when you player gets the ball back the opponent use L1 to protect the ball for a brief moment, then use r1 to quick pass the opponent

L1 is strafe dribbling and r1 is agile dribbling, I actually don’t know what the difference is tho

when players know how to use agile dribbling it makes fifa a much much better game.

This makes sense why sometimes it works for me and other times it doesn’t so thx now I know what to do so it always works

Yes bro I see a lot of people use it wrong and it’s actually really easy to defend

Another good tip on this, use LB to dribble at the opposite angle you plan on cutting(LB dribble towards left corner flag for instance) Let go of LB at the commit from defender and Hold RB long enough to get around(Hold RB to the Right Corner flag) Skill moves are no longer needed unless in specific areas, you can reg dribble, LB or RB your way through everyone now. One last pretty good tip, learn to play with the controlled sprint mechanic, it's so broken while dribbling.(when you get around someone you don't have to hold sprint and maybe take a huge touch, can slightly hold it to keep a defender behind you and maintain quality touches on the ball.)

@Tony Edgal It's in the settings, it allows for the harder you hold down RT(Sprint Button) The higher the top speed of your player. So if you hardly press it down you'll run slightly faster than your normal Left stick movement. Whereas if you mash it down all the way you will immediately try for top end speed.(With less control of the ball Obviously) So if you can figure it out hardly no more massive touches just trying to put a little distance between you and someone behind you.

What u said seems pretty much useful, it's just I couldn't really understand to be honest. Is there a way u can re explain it to me? I would really appreciate it. I am really struggling here, I have many fast agile players and I feel I am wasting their potential. I don't know how these players are so controlled when directing their players. I have been playing this game for years now, and it's the first time I feel stuck. Dribbling is kinda better I know, cause not everyone can do it. But with the ultra pressure glitch it's getting harder, especially I don't even know how to do skill moves, and I don't want to learn, I just wanna be better at dribbling. I play many games trying to practice and I can hardly find any improvement. Sorry for the long message but I am really wishing I can enjoy this game a bit better.

@@user-bm3xj1ew8n play in skill games - "practice attacking scenarios". Sit there for 30 mins everyday before you go online, practice new techniques and if you fail you can just reset with the pause button. There's no real advice to be given just try 1v1 drills and dribbling skill games to really learn the mechanics.

Very good advice. I find dribbling pretty tough especially against AI on clubs.

Ever since I learned this dribble my attacks are so much more consistent. That first touch is crazy

Everyone have different fifa settings, my R1 is sprint so I’m not sure.

How to make a football game look less and less like a real football match with this bizarre way of having to do things, about 0.1% of real pro footballers can do these skills about 2% of the time during the game.

So what does L1 do differently?

While pressing R1 sometimes other players come towards you thinking you are calling them short. Is there a way around it?

This works properly with players that have a low centre of gravity and high agility/ fast pace

Some cards like Correa or Messi doesn't need agile dribbling tbf

LB/L1 dribbling is different to RB/R1. LB/L1 makes the ball stick to your foot more when you hold it in, allowing tighter turns

Thanks for this, I thought so but I wasn’t sure since I’ve seen a few videos talking about R1/RB dribbling and thought maybe they were talking about L1/LB but they just had a different button configuration. Yeah I think the L1/LB dribbling is better from my experience at least. It does stick to your foot more

The movement of players is not right this year in fifa 23, it almost feels like they are gliding on field not as firm on ground as previous fifa titles.. this year when they twist or turn looks like they have skate in their legs😢

Bro, this video is almost a year old. This is FIFA 23. 😂 But you can still use Agile Dribbling like it's explained here in those situations, but yes, you have to use both triggers for it.

Sometimes I just hold the button to troll my opponents

Agile dribbling should be removed its soo unreal....if agile dribbling must exist on fifa....then the speed of twists and turn must be realistic..and energy demanding, when the guage is emptied agile dribbling will automatically be deactivated due to energy drop then and only then agile dribbling would be limited and a player should utilize it and make his runs and not just continually holding down R1 mesmerising the whole procedure....

play at tele broadcast remove all your stadium flags and all other items. it will help little bit. play telebroadcast 18-0 or 16-0 this setting give extra wide almost similar to co-op. it will reduce input lag if you play in pc turn off vsync and play window borderless to avoid vsync turn on automatically.

Its already proven year by year, and getting worse every time. You can complain about the gameplay or that you don't like the overall development of the game, that's fair and personal preference. But since you mention P2W as often: I haven't spend a single cent on FIFA 23 and still manage to reach Rank 1/20-0 in Weekend League. Seems like the script is just continously on my side.... OR I accept the fact that there is plenty of things that I can do better than others and win more often. It's up to you whether you limit your believes what you can accomplish with your own skill, because you think "DDA is holding you back". - TaZz
