I’m shocked at the comments. We have our 3rd jack russel . We are in our 70 s . These super intelligent, loyal ,people loving and dog loving animals are unbeatable. Full of fun , fearless , manipulative , agile , quick learning , entertaining, amazing dogs , are nothing but the best . All other dogs seem bland in comparison. Our Jackie is with a group of dogs in a park every afternoon , and has always been the star of the show . Some people should not be dog owners . They are not suitable or committed enough . Lazy or narcissistic,owners need not apply . Everyday I am thankful for FREDDY . HE Is. 2 years old , and has traveled with us everywhere. Hotels , restaurants etcetc no problems ever . All 3 have been delightful. Makes friends everywhere and extremely sociable. Omg 😱 we worship the ground his lordship , urinates on .

Yes, it all depends on the owner. I had an amazing JRT Bobby. He came from a dog shelter and we were healing his previous traumas from his ex-owner. Time flew and he became marvellous friend. I miss him so much.. Love can fix everything.

We had a jack Russell called “Gyp” She lived till the age of 19 years, Still very much missed. ❤

My female was rescued and passed on to me right from the start we connected, she's incredibly loyal and protective also she's obedient. She likes to chase rats but couldn't catch one to save her life. She has caught 2 low flying birds she just jumped up and brought them down luckily she let them go when told. I've had dogs all of my life (I'm 70) and she's the best.

As a former owner big male dogs like German shepherd and malinois, we adopted/rescued a young female puppy JRT about 3 years ago. I can tell you this, she’s the best dog and companion that I ever have. I even put in my will if so happens that I died before her, let her see my dead body because they can sense death. I don’t want her to feel that I have abandoned her.❤

I have 50:years experience of Jack russel ownership . When buying look at both parents personality. Temperament is important. Socialising the pup from a very young age is vital . Unsociable people have unsociable dogs . This breed is very active and need to socialise with people and dogs all the time . An apartment is not good for these dogs . Once one has owned a jack russel you are hooked . Inquisitive and fun loving . It’s bad owners and never bad dogs . Easy to train . Our jackys were house trained in a less than 14 days . These dogs enrich peoples lives . Charismatic and protective . King Charles has two which makes them royal as well . 🤣🤣🤣. An incomparable breed .

Give a dog love and devotion and they return it tenfold . People that moan, must look to themselves first . You will find a lot of couch potatoes and selfish amongst them .

My lucky is a parson jack, 15 and going strong. Chill and constant companion.

I have the perfect dog, 3/4 rat terrier 1/4 jack Russell. She is awesome, can chill out but has the best traits of the Russell.

My neighbors 12 year old half Chihuahua have Jack Russell terrier acts like a puppy. My neighbor had a stroke and we had her dog for three months. There couldn’t be a more perfect dog.

Very stubborn breed but want to please their people. Just glad I'm just as stubborn. We make a great team. We have each other's backs, protect each other.

Best breed you will ever find, so loyal and entertaining. I will only ever own JRTs, cant believe that they scored so low on the intelligence level.....I think that was crap. Cheeko, my older dog is so smart I swear he understands what I say and even understands my body language. I love my to dogs so much, they are my children.

Isn't that true! My JRT is so stupendously fearless. She once ran up to a pretty large Pit Bull, grabbed it's lower lip with her mouth and wouldn't let go. The Pit was so surprised and shocked by her aggression, it had no idea what to do, luckily so, cuz that pit could have killed her effortlessly with one crunch of its jaw around her little neck. But our dog was acting like she was the biggest badass ever. Luckily friends owned the pet, so we avoided a lawsuit!

Number 1 if you want a dog which will sit and roll and walk at your heel, you bought the wrong dog. They need lots of exercise and stimulation and you cannot be scared of or offended by their aggression or they will control you and potentially make a mess of your home.

My jack i reckon his mix bred cos his all brown wth white line under neck, paws still growing the white color thou... Will soon take him to vet cos i think his 2months old now bt look muscular

So odd my Russell terrier was so chill but had her hyper moments 😅 of cousese she would bring us gifts from the backyard 😅...like birds and bunnies ..ya she parked at big dogs 😭 bit loved smaller dogs . Good guard dog always let me lnow and alert. She didn't like to be out for too long. Everyone ahe met loved her right away so loveable and friendly and knew went you werent well

My Abby girl is my shadow. We do everything together. She loved my kitty max before he passed but he was in the house first and she associated him with dinner time since I fed them both "kitty meats."

Where can I adopt a Jack Russell? I have not came across a lot of Jack Russells in California. I want one.

I have OWNED a Jack Russell for 5 years, & when I brought it in to my home when it was a puppy, I thought it was going to be a GIANT dog when it grows up, but I soon found out, that it stays tiny forever. It is one of the most popular breeds, & THAT, is NOT, the dog I WANT, because The AKC Company (American Kennel Club) does NOT, recognize that tiny, feisty breed!!! I live in a HUGE, OPEN area, where there’s NO FENCING!!! A Jack Russell is the 17th most aggressive breed, because I JUST found out, that it was used for hunting foxes in the past. A Jack Russell is TOO small, noisy, & smelly for me to own, because I do NOT want to have a bath READY for it!!! A Jack Russell is TINY, NOISY, & VERY FAST, & MY Jack Russell likes to be vocal, because when I hear it barking, its bark, where it lets out a SHRIEK, is like a burning stick that lit me on fire, & when it wakes up, it acts as a Time-Bomb when it starts to bark, 24-HOUR NONSTOP ALWAYS!!! A Jack Russell has one of The HIGHEST PREY DRIVES of ANY dog, because whenever I see cats that are NOT Maine Coons in my yard, & my Jack Russell starts running up to them, I ALWAYS have to SAVE them, FROM it, & the ONLY cat breeds I WANT my Jack Russell to run up to, are Maine Coons!!! Every time I watch size comparison videos that have dogs in them, ALL of The OTHER KZread users that MADE them, ALWAYS have their minds FIXED on ADDING Jack Russells IN to them, & I DO NOT WANT THAT!!! My Jack Russell is 6 months old he is loving and gentle...excitable yes but I play ball first thing in the morning so he can release some energy and other games during the day nice long walks in the park and cuddle up at bedtime he is a darling....Perhaps you should have got a different breed
