As much as I am impressed by the replacement of the injector cups, You shop built tool knocked it out of the park!
I remember when my boss had sold injector cups on one of these a while back after I recommended a diesel shop for them. He said he ordered the tools and I could do it...I got it done, but the first time is a bit nerve racking. Good tools are essential and patience.
This is the first video that I see very well explained make it looks easy I know it's not but I feel confident to do it myself in 99 7.3 diesel thank you
Nice work very interesting...best part was having lunch watching someone else working 😂..there's a lot involved in working on the diesels..but very cool..Thanks for showing Theo..✌
Nice job Theo. I've only had to this once, went pretty good. Took a few flushes to get the fuel out of the coolant.
Made me very happy your using Liner sealer and not Red locktite like all the other KZreadrs do did you have to cut any seats for the cups there are some castings More so in the 6.0s that are just ugly I personally will cut 1-2 thousandths off as the cup do allow up to 3 cutting when needed makes it harder for any carbon to push up and under and lift the cup damaging the seal but all and all another prefect job I have to say and do you know how many people and techs do not know about the drain plugs I think you are the only one so far I have seen on KZread that has showed them ........I give you an A++ on this one
Good job idol
Did you put the coolent plugs back in with locktight or Teflon
Recently had the same experience. Where did u get injectors? How's truck running now? Good video
Great video, thank you for sharing. Did you have any issues installing the new cups on the cylinders closest to the firewall? There doesn't seem to be much room for the hammer to place the cups
For how long you have to dry the Loctite 620 once you install them
Is there a way to look down into the cup and see if it’s bad or not so you don’t have to remove it?
Hi i have engine 7.3 1996. but i have a problem. Frecuently be mix oil with diesel and change new orings and works again by some time. do you think that my cup is broken or need replace?
Do you have a part # for stock cups?
Are the cups threaded or are you making thread to have something to pull them out with?
What’s up brother
I'm doing this job after my compression test.
What size is the tap you used?
Were there any clearance issues when installing the cups closest to the fire wall?(was there enough room to get a mallet in there?)
If I don't have fuel in my coolant do I still need to drain the coolant?
