I had the same problem on a 97 GC Limited. Tried running w/o the BCM, but it stalls after 2 seconds. I finally cut the always hot 12V on the BCM C2 pin 8 and spliced it to the RUN/ACC pin 15. Now the BCM only comes on when the IGN switch is in RUN or ACC.

Just leave the bcm unplugged or do i need to get 1 ?

This happened to me to it was the number 7 fuse it was the back hatch sencer there was 2 of them it was the bottom one after I unlocked it that worked

Hello i have drain from fuse 7 on my grand cherokee 2002 can you help me about this drain

So that the draw was coming from the fuse do you replace the fuse or leave fuse out

@@lmbmkr1 I don't know, Richard, but those wires at 2:49 commonly get shorted to ground as the door moving open and close rubs the sheilding off the wires causing a draw on the battery.

Replace see if it draws power or makes a change in power when you unplug n plug in the fudes

It was a long time ago (haven’t been on KZread for a while cause I changed email) but if I remember correctly it was to do with the door switches having crappy connections (body ground) and the security system.. he didn’t wanna spend any more money so I left the security system disabled
