I haven't used Dangerfield stuff in a long time, but I remember them fondly. They're made of 301HY and have some nice profiles in there. I believe Dangerfield was one of the first to adopt 301HY to the consumer market. The Praxis was one of those kits you heard around 2017-2020 and just kinda picked up because at the time that was the most "complete" dual gauge set you could buy. Since then, they seem to have made the finish nicer which is interesting considering some manufacturers which I will not name have chosen to simply keep their products inferior out of laziness. They manage to market to the locksmith and the hobbyist whilst maintaining a good air about them. Law Lock Tools does the same, must be a British thing. Definitely a historical brand.

Thanks for turning me on to Mr. Dangerfield. I'm into purchasing single picks and such to expand my collection and perspective on things anyway.

Dangerfield has some nice stuff. I've had the Praxis Stealth set since May of last year and they hold up fine. Even the black coating seems pretty solid. No chipping or flaking on mine.

Great unboxing as always...You'll probably want to grab the Polaris rake set too...10 rakes and 3 turning tools in a sexy leather tri-fold magnetic case. Also, I believe that Dangerfield was the first company to make a Deforest half diamond in .015...Anyway, I love my Praxis and Polaris sets...Good quality...Peace!

my Parxis .015 outlasted my Sparrows tuxedo kit(bent them after only a month or so of use) by years and counting. They are in my EDC, .025 CI, .023 DF, .020 CI and the .015 DF mostly picks, a select few rakes, comb picks and a few bypass tools. The have held up the entire time, from I was beginning my Picking up until now. Still straight after 4-5 years of near daily use. Definitely would buy again.

You gotta love CD, his channel is, as us yanks might put it, a hoot. And, he almost always replies to comments, like you he's very engaged with his audience. I've been enamored with the idea of that Zed wrench, where the one end's axis is rotated or twisted. If you cut the one end shorter, that end makes for an excellent TOK tool (a little like Chris Capune's signature turning tool) while the bottom is good for BOK, just a really good all-in-one wrench that would be ideal for a jacknife (with some modifications). That said, I don't think it's original to Chris, I see that HPC, Lokko, and Peterson make similar wrenches, though the Peterson wrench was too thin to be any good to me.

Mr. Sandman... I love your vids.... I say what I think as well... thank you for your service.... I'm a vet as well . One thing.. please at least give Sparrows the love that they were an easy vector into the sport.... I agree that the quality/ misrepresentation is a thing... but I think most of us lock dudes learned some with them and are improving our game with.... more than likely some of LPL's excellent quality products.... in most cases thanks to your reviews... just don't sell your opinions short... Sparrows served a purpose.. they got me hooked... yourself and Covert Instruments made us better.

You got sparrowed. If you watch my videos, I have mentioned in every single video that they started the wave of providing tools to the community. You should try watching my videos. I mentioned it in every single one of them where I review sparrows products. But just because they were the first, doesn’t mean they deserve any respect whatsoever. They are still garbage, and they are taking advantage of every single customer that purchases from them.

Dangerfield is definitely superior to sparrows but not completely comfortable to them ripping off mad Bob's. Especially with inferior finishing quality.
