An-22 and Il-76 were produced in my home town, where I was born and live almost all my life, at Tashkent Aviation plant (5th largest in the world). I saw many of them (including A-50 (Il-76 with radar)) flying over Tashkent. I was also lucky to see once Mriya (An-225) flying directly above my house, unfortunately this happened late in the evening and it was dark already. But anyway, I was very impressed!! It was HUGE!!!! BTW, Tashkent plant also was producing wings for Ruslan An-124 planes that were produced in Kiev, These wings were attached to An-22 above fuselage (along it) and so transported to Ukraine. I saw once such An-22 above Tashkent.
