#93 The 2018 Cactus and Succulent Society of Australia Competition | Part 4

LET'S PLANT!
EP - 2018 Cactus and Succulent Society of Australia Show
This is the fourthinstallment of a series of videos I'm releasing, which covers the annual CSSA competition. The raw footage about 1.5 hours long, and I'm working through them in parts.
I also plan to release a full length version compiling all of the split parts into one video, which I believe will make for a better viewing experience if you have the time to go through them all in one sitting!
Make sure to check out my CSSA Show 2018 playlist to see the other parts, or check out the full length 2 hour version if you prefer to watch all of them in one go.
DISCLAIMER:
I might have mixed up the names of some exhibitors, giving the wrong credit. Please let me know if I got it wrong so I can indicate it in the pinned comment and here in the description.

Yes you need to enter your Echeveria next time! The plaid cactus is fun and the colors come out in the hot sun! (You said you liked it after the astrophitum). I have one that’s bigger and kind of nicer than peters but I’m biased of coarse. Good luck entering I know you’d win. But the judging on these plants were inconsistent especially with the Haworthia. Thanks for uploading! It was a joy to watch.

I DON'T like lithops or mesembs at all or MOST gasters or haworthias. I love echeverias and aeoniums most followed by kalanchoes, agaves, aloes, the other haworthias & sedums (in no particular order). I tend to like rosette shapes more than others; but, surprisingly, some of the more unusual shapes and configurations in this competition actually grabbed me. Totally unexpected! It's great to suddenly realize that I'm not as totally opposed to other styles and types as I had once believed. Again, Chuck, congratulations on your great job of filming, editing, etc. this most interesting event. I would love seeing some of your gorgeous plants in the next competition! Your echeverias rock! Big time! Ijs. 💚

The judging on Haworthia was awful! Ok not awful but confusing to say the least.

Yeah there's quite a number of categories. They had a separate group for soft leaves vs hard leaves, then underneath those two, further subdivided into sizes.
