We know it makes about 300whp at 16lbs and 250whp at 7lbs on 91 octane. The question is what happens when we push it to 25,30,35lbs like the whole setup was designed for.

What transaxles are you guys using? IIRC you were using a B5 Passat box. I would be very surprised if it could handle the hp levels you're discussing without serious modifications.

It's actually the Porsche 930 4 speed. One of the strongest out there. We'll probably find it's limits at some point. :)

The orange car runs the Passat 5speed.

This is why hub dynos are so much better (and safer)

Gentlemen, I am truly impressed by both your vehicles. You are very lucky to be experiencing a father/son bond such as this, regardless of mechanical issues. I wish my father and I had this kind of fun. Be happy, be healthy, and live your best life. If you are Christian, we're all sinners, repent and talk with the Lord often. You'd be surprised how many car issues the Almighty has been able to solve, when asked.
