GM Maxime Vachier-Lagrave finished in second place after defeating GM Wang Hao. GM Anish Giri finished tied for 3rd-4th place after losing to GM Kirill Alekseenko, while GM Alexander Grischuk showed strong technique in a difficult endgame to hold the draw against GM Fabiano Caruana. The full report on the 14th round is coming soon.

It’s literally impossible to get a mate in one unless you’re hacking to where the rook can’t take the queen. There’s no mate in one. After the queen takes the bishop, it should’ve been the bishop taking the bishop because then the king would have to move e4. Then you would move the black bishop to f3, forcing the white king to move back to f1 because of the revealed check. Then you would move black queen to e 2 and then g2 checkmate.

The second and third weren't particularly difficult to see. I expected to see some obvious cheating but this looks fine.

Instead of taking bishop (light square) w/ queen take with bishop, king e1 is forced, bishop d3, king d1 is forced, Queen e2, king c1 is forced then Queen to c2 a beautiful mate. That’s why it said missed win
