This is now my favorite speedrun. It used to be the blitz Botez gambit speedrun. But this is absolutely hilarious. Whenever Hikaru tries to complement the opponent on a good move or putting up resistance, it means within two moves they will blunder their queen and typically half their pieces in sequence. Can't stop appreciating the humor of it all

I wish he was playing 1500-2000s though. He could still probably give up a queen against them in bullet. I give up a queen against my sister who's 700 elo

@cheetahcheeto8630 staged? I do think Hikaru preps strategies for the speedruns. But if he didn't that would be weird as he's making specific content for an uncommon perspective on playing chess. I figured it out during the bong cloud speed runs that he seemed to have done research. Like a true pro at chess and content creation. But if you are saying the opponents are rigged, I've never seen any signs or reason for it. To even say it's rigged is just weird. He's one of the best players in the world. It would be much harder to stage it over just doing it normally ironically enough. So you are off base, logically speaking.

​@@FrogToadBug I once almost got knifed to death on Christmas day for offering queen odds at a party to a guy I didn't know. He refused and I proceeded to beat the tar out of him so he got mad and started yelling and pulled a knife on me. True story.

Since bullet is much easier to cheese people on the clock I honestly think he can hit 3000 elo. Which is insane to give your queen away and get to a level only few ever reach 😂

Why does Hikaru believe a 1000 elo wont hang his queen

My peak was 850 and i never hang the queen, or any other piece. But i would usually trade a piece for 2 pawns trying to get in advantageous position but sometimes didn't work.

@@diniscardoso861 Neither would i and i'm like 500 to 600 (Actually, there are times where i blunder my Queen in rapid but they're very rare.) . The thing is that they're playing Bullet. You've got only 1 minute to play and that guy was playing against Hikaru, the Bullet Chess Champion. A good portion of the players here blundered their Queen. So i'm not surprised even a 1000 rated player blundered their Queen.
