Same! From cheap hotels. From the gift basket that your mom got at the bible study/ladies church group/ work gift exchange. From being the least popular lotion scent at the store and therefore being used as the “free with purchase” item one too many times.

Oh my God thank you for confirming that those devil cabbage patch kid dolls had a damn smell!! I hate dolls but i hated that nasty smell even more it would make me literally sick, I would tell my mom but she refused to believe me. And looking at those plastic shoes i can already feel the burning and blistering on my feet, which actually happened to me when i was younger and i can remember it vividly, streaming tears & all. Why was my childhood just torturous 😭

My favorite OG Bath and Body Works scent was Plumeria. Followed by Freesia and Juniper Breeze. At my school it seemed like everyone had the Sun-Ripened Raspberry lotion and body spray. They used that stuff like they were trying to cover up the typical stank from the teen boys in a pre-Axe era. People looked at you like you’d lost your mind if you said you didn’t like Sun-Ripened Raspberry. I think I mostly didn’t like it because I felt like I was perpetually drowning in it.

Lol! My mom used to work at a Cabbage Patch factory when I was a baby. BabyLand in Helen, GA. I don’t think it’s a working factory anymore… I think it’s a novelty thing now. You walk through and let your kid pick their baby from the cabbage patch and you get to “adopt” it. Really expensive but the kiddies love it!

Actually cabbage patch kids don’t have an added on scent. What they do have is a product in their plastic that gives off a “scent” that everyone seems to know and fondly remember. Did a whole research paper on them. Edit: “This unique smell is due to the industrial rags present in them.”
