Instead of nail polish remover - which is very easy to get - I use acetone or isopropanol. Acetone is the main component of nail polish remover. If you can buy it by the liter, it is much cheaper than nail polish remover. Isopropanol is similar as it also works very well for removing permanent markers, but is not near as much of a health hazard as acetone. I normally use isopropanol except where it really calls for something more agressive (like transferring a pattern from a laser printed paper onto metal). Instead of a shaving brush I use paint brushes to clean up. Especially since I work with precious and non-precious metals. I don't like the idea of collecting steel dust instead of silver etc to send that in to my bullion dealer for purifying. That way I can make sure there is not so much non-precious metal in my dust container. Instead of a baking tray, I have made myself a aluminum lined drawer. Works like a charm. I can place my ball vise inside at the right height or I can use it to collect saw dust and filings.

@@HuiyiTan yeah, sadly; my dentist (who is absolutely wonderful and I am able to smile because of her) has a hard and fast rule due to being sued over it before. Apparently a lot of offices will now send in their used burs to the manufacturers
