Whenever I start a new game, I always call my mom so that she can experience it with me. She is just as into the Legend of Zelda as I am, and she's learning all sorts of new lore that she didn't know about. ! I theorized something similar but SS, BOTW And TOTK all exist in another timeline (and the OG Timeline but). The Era of Myth is a alternate reality version of the older games. And ganondorf in the era of myth that is similar in our OG timeline (the n64 games and other games etc) all exist or may not exist. Like a dragon break but like you said, doesn't necessarily end. So BOTW and TOTK somehow exist possibly in a way that well never experience? But use what we know from SS, Era of Myth, BotW and TotK in the "Fujibiyoshi Parallel Timeline" to help answer the questions of the old OG Timeline. Or something completely different. Some people say that BotW and TotK are contradictory to each other. AND some people are saying the games are a ll one timeline.

  • @verdantmistral442

@@YumaHyrule Not saying that. Just wanted to include the little fun fact that the name was in the series before either character. That said. I always thought that Rauru was intended to be a King of Hyrule. Maybe not OoT Zelda's dad, but one of them. (Though if not the case in lore, I'm still 100% sure that his model was originally intended to be the OoT King before the decision to never show the King was made.) His appearance even sort of foreshadows the kings (WW and MC) that appear later in the series as they generally have a similar build and look about them. This is also somewhat shown in SS Zelda's dad, who is definitely referencing Rauru and his alternate form of Kaepora Gaebora. So, TotK Rauru just further pushed my theory that OoT Rauru was a previous King of Hyrule. If he isn't a reincarnation, he might at least be named after TotK Rauru.

@@verdantmistral442 there is something that i dont understand too.. maybe you can help me with that xD there is one thing i dont understand about the story... [spoiler if you havent seen the memories of the past yet] the creation of hyrule kingdom was in the era of prosperity... the zonai sealed ganondorf in this era. and he stayed there underground (sealed) until TotK. so no ganondorf on surface from era of prosperity (before OoT) until TotK, which takes place long after all the old zelda games. BUT how is it possible then that Ganondorf DID show up in OoT (or TP) ?? @@YumaHyrule @@YumaHyrule Yeah, I do not currently understand that either. Maybe by the end of the game, it will make sense. My guesses are as good as yours. Anything from Ganondorf reincarnating to this taking place on a timeline separate from any previous game. Calling the battle the Imprisoning War suggests that this might have occured after OoT in the Downfall timeline, but that can't be the case if this takes place at the beginning of Hyrule. It is also possible that Ganondorf might have been able to complete his weird eggsac rebirth from BotW in a previous generation and the Ganondorf in OoT was a meat puppet for Mummy Ganondorf (which might explain his rebirth in Four Swords Adventures). This might even explain why Twinrova were his surrogate mothers then... OoT Ganondorf wasn't born like a normal person. Big take away. The story is still a mystery to me but it's lit the fire in my head to figure it out.

Been theorizing thanks to this game, that the Rito may actually have descended from the Loftwings. It would also go a ways to explaining the existence if the Zora at the same time as the Rito. that's an interesting theory. i mean i guess if you want to you can also take the Watarara from the OoT manga in account. given the Rito were inspired by them. so the Rito's absence for some portions of Hyrule's history can also be explained as them migrating. and at some point they permanently settled again. My theory (based on nothing beyond the Great Sky Island, plus Ocarina of Time and Skyward Sword, for anybody worried about spoilers), is that the Rauru of Ocarina was an important member of the royal family, and as such, counted both Tears of the Kingdom's King Rauru, and Zelda's father from Skyward Sword, Gaepora, amongst his ancestors, explaining why he has both the names Rauru and Kaepora Gaebora. It almost seems obvious really: first, Skyward, Gaepora; next, the pre-history of Tears, Rauru; finally, Ocarina, a descendent of both of them, who uses both their names.

I think it's possible that each race has put a twist on the stories that fits their ideals, and over millennia the who's and what's have been mixed up or change. It would be nice to see how the GSI geographically fits with the surface below, as piecing together the landscape like this can be quite hard to place visually just looking at the surface and the GSI itself. Seeing as it was once part of the Great Plateau, it shows that Great Plateau being much bigger than we initially realized, but the placement of where the Temple of Time resides in the sky is a little bit further away, putting it much closer to the Proxim Bridge as we see in certain cutscenes, and so the other Temple of Time that we know of on the Great Plateau is built in a different location entirely. Just knowing where each sky island fits on the surface will make a more complete picture of how everything use to look before they were raised into the sky. But when you also factor in landscape shifts and changes with the weather and time, it changes how things fit in place.

#3 I really don't think you know the definition of the word secret. The Sheikah Slate in BOTW was modeled after the Wii U gamepad and it was pretty obvious for everyone to see. So the Purah Pad being modeled after the Switch is in no way secretive.

there is one thing i dont understand about the story... He is supposed to be sealed because he was sealed in an era before OoT and is still there in TotK. so how can he be there in OoT?? is this a plot hole? i really cant see how its possible lore wise... please of someone has an answer, tell me🙏

The ancient past in totk is obviously after oot. Rauru says he’s the founder of hyrule, but that’s just his head cannon. The castle in totk is not the castle in oot, the great plateau contains oot castle town, and totk states the hyrule castle was built there to protect gannondorfs seal, therefore the events of the ancient past happened after whatever happened that made the great plateau.

When MummyDorf dropped Rauru's name in the opening, I legit thought for a moment that this could be the same Ganondorf from OOT somehow. Though given the very existence of the Zonai in this timeline, I almost feel like OOT may not even have happened in this universe.

I have a theory: Tears of the Kingdom is the second game in what will be a trilogy. The third will bring back the Triforce itself, and via the timey-whimey shenanigans of Zelda’s time powers, will wind up wrapping all three previously established timelines into the same shared world. Also because we will need to… SPOILER WARNING BELOW: I think we will need to use the Triforce to turn Zelda back into a Hyrulean human post draconification. And also it’s my theory that this will wrap up the Ganondorf saga and bring about a new big bad or possibly Demise himself. Also I expect the Zonai will be back in further force in the third.

The necklace Rauru wears kind of looks like an owl to me. I'm certain this is intentional, but I'm not sure if it's just an Easter Egg or if it's significant to the game as a whole as I'm only half way (I think) through the story portion of the game. As a whole, this game reminds me a lot of Ocarina of Time. I won't get into specifics (obviously) but it just has that kind of vibe.

just like how many people get named Link and the royal family has a Zelda in every second generation, Rauru is a name frequently given to sages. Names in the Zelda universe are cyclical, being used over and over... which really helps propagate the legends since, by sheer luck, every time these events happen again it happens while a princess has been named Zelda and a kid named Link is around In Majora's Mask we find out that Link is actually a common enough name that Gorons have it as a name too, and we know from several different games that Zelda is a passed down name of the Royal Family, applying to at LEAST every other generation. This was actually stated, concretely, in one of the games manuals and repeated in Hyrule Historia Every name in Zelda games will come up again... and again... and again...

About Rauru and the entire “Beginning of Hyrule.” I don’t know how this would work in the actual timeline. It feels like they’re re writing the entire lore… Ganondorf being there from the start doesn’t make any sense whatsoever. I haven’t seen all memories yet, but it just doesn’t feel right so far. The story is awesome, but Ganondorf came in Ocarina of Time. Unless this is a Ganondorf before that. I wonder what else we’ll learn about Rauru and Ganondorf. I’ve been playing since release date daily.

*Contains a Spoiler for Tears of the Kingdom* I think for a secret or reference. Just look at the general shape of the Great Sky Island. Its almost one to one with Skyloft from Skyward Sword. Of course its not exactly the same there are differences that we can point out. But the more I look at the shape of main island the more I can't help to compare it to Skyloft. Even seeing a large area where the pond/ floating waterfall is supposed to be. Current headcannon or theory. Is that once the first humans descended to the surface after Skyward Sword the Zona inhabited the remains of Skyloft; replacing it with their culture and architecture until they disappeared, leaving only their constructs behind. Even Tears of Kingdom reference that the Zonai descended from the heavens. (The Sky in this case.)
