One of the possible ways that the lore could work to explain why the Ruined Portal, Village, Pillager Outpost, and Woodland Mansion all exist in the same place would be that the Villagers discovered the ruins of the portal and it held some significance to them so they created a Village there. Then when the Pillagers invaded, they set up an Outpost there as part of their occupation. As the Pillagers came to study the portal ruins, they also found some significance to the place and decided to create a permanent settlement of their own (the Mansion) nearby. The villagers are unwilling to abandon their sacred place so they stay even though it means that they live under constant threat and oppression by the Pillagers.

The shipwrecks surrounded by ice are actually super realistic. Many ships became trapped in the polar ice sheets while trying to find the fabled Northwest passage over North America. The resolute desk in the Oval Office of the White House was made of wood salvaged from the HMS Resolute, which America recovered from the frozen north and gave back to England. England then made several desks and gifted one to President Rutherford B. Hayes. It's been in the Oval Office ever since. Other ships like HMS Terror and HMS Erebus were lost to the ice as well, and though they eventually sank under the ice, they are almost perfectly preserved due to the cold reducing the rate of decay.

10:40 the world I started playing recently has a ruined portal like that. It had an obsidian and flint and steel in the chest, so it took only 30 seconds to go to the nether.

0:50 I have that in my Minecraft world, it's located just north of spawn or just around 3000 blocks

I haven’t found anything too weird on my own except villagers that really do choose to ignore the riskiness of their real estate. The ones in my long term world with the “broken” jungle caldera lake with temple/ruined portal village (I got from a seed Sunday last year) have it pretty nice but I found another village with a pillager outpost intertwined close-ish by. 🤨 I guess they hope that by spreading kindness they can possibly make them peaceful again, but unfortunately that doesn’t work in Minecraft. ( It’d be fun though if you could cure them somehow like zombie villagers.)

I found out in one world that strongholds don’t just spawn under villages, the one I found was under an Ocean Monument. Made it way harder to get to the end.

Yesterday I found 3 chest minecarts in one place in the mesa biome 😭 This is why I love structures!

It's weird, my Minecraft can run 100 chunks of render distance, but 8 chunks in the nether with a fastion killed it. Must be something fun happening there!

I have a seed where the portal room is blocked off by stone lol (i spent 30 minutes trying to find the portal and i never found it so i went into spectator mode and found out)

Im going to have fun with the monstrosity, and I intend to try to make the cave village my in-game home

I suspect that the sky wrecks happen over night. I'm not sure if they need rain. Once, I was going around an island at night and I come around and there was a ship. I'm sure it wasn't there when I started. I also remember in Java long ago when there was rain at night and the next morning a ship appeared close by.
