You've definitely done a great job getting better angles, being more concise, and just overall better quality, I really enjoy the progress! On topic though, our snake plant was right by a North facing window and got SUPER thin. Like under 2 cm. It did not like it

My monstera adansonii hangs in a west window where there is a large maple tree outside. I was worried it might be too dark there. It grew 6 " long over the summer. It touched the floor and I had to cut it back. I love it, it works like a curtain for privacy.

I wanted trailing plants in my master bathroom, which only has one small northeast facing window. The light level is gloomy - like just before a storm - and what absolutely works well is English ivy. I bought two from the local hardware store a couple of months ago, Asterisk and a gold-edged variety. In a brightly lit, hot and humid greenhouse they were dull and leathery looking and on the sale shelf. Repotted, rinsed off, and given a shot of fertilizer and they are growing like crazy in all directions in my gloomy bathroom! Looking to add more!

Great video. I have noted a couple of plants (chinese money plant & zami oculus) that I would like to grow. Additionally, found out that Monstera Adasona is actually a low-light plant. I was shocked to see the lush green color of yours and understood why mine was light green bordering yellow. I too had it next to a bright lit window and now have changed its location to a darker spot. Lets see how it goes.

Parlor Palms are among my favorites and have a nice tropical vibe about them. I found my first one about 3 years ago as a rescue in the clearance section at walmart for $1.50. It was very small in a 3" pot and was severely dehydrated and about gone. With some proper tlc, the little one recovered fairly quickly and started growing very well. The plant is now thriving and is now in a 10" pot and is over a meter tall and wide and has even sent up flower clusters this last February. You're going to enjoy growing that one as they are tolerant of many less then idle conditions. It should do well for you in that location. 👍

My devil's ivy is just "impossible". In a year it didn't grow at all. Originally it was intended to sit on top of a book shelf two meters away from the window and climb down the shadow side. It just didn't start growing. It kind of started looking worse over the year. Late this summer I changed the soil and added layers of rock pebbles that don't react and release minerals for drainage and put it at the window (the window is to east but is also covered by balcony, a yard full of trees and two blocks of flats so there's barely any direct sunlight in the morning and in the noon, it's basically indirect sunlight even when the sun is right at the window). I water it when the top soil goes dry (from darker brown to light brown and looks more sandy). The pot has a hole in the bottom as well as a layer of rocks. It's also far from root bound in the pot, it had plenty of room to fill even though the pot is small. I've been giving it liquid plant fertilizer once a month, perhaps slightly less than the recommended amount in the bottle to be rather safe than sorry. It does look healthier after the soil change, pebbles and spot change (it's more perky as in upright and aims towards sun), but it hasn't grown under my eyes for sure, I still can't confirm if it has grown any in the past 2 months since the changes. Which is what I've come to expect from devil's ivy hearing from people having one. As opposed to super easy plant that doesn't care that much about how you take care of it, it feels like it's doomed to stay as a couple of independent leaves in short stem, definitely not an ivy. What makes the situation worse is that right next to it sits the sweetheart plant that I bought around the same time as I made the changes to devil's ivy, and it has grown a long tentacle and multiple leaves around the stand and roping over other plants on the stand and starting to rise back up too. All this makes me wonder if I've made the right changes and the plant is recovering and just starting to get wild, or if it's just gonna stay like that (or that there's still some important factor I'm not considering).

@@SheffieldMadePlants it's a lowlight plant but it wasn't a lack of light, because the 2 ZZ plants were in the same position. So today I pulled out the remaining stem and cut it in half, put it into a small pot, then I gave the top half a trimming of the leaves and dipped it in rooting hormone powder. What I discovered was a sorry soggy mess. Rotten rhizomes, and ONE that still has roots and it's OVERWATERING that killed it😱

I bought a Schefflera 2 weeks ago and I'm sad because the leaves keep going brown, soft and falling off. Only watered once since I got it cos the soil seemed pretty wet. Doing research hasn't really helped, figured it must be over or under watering. It's currently 4 on my moisture meter (have same kind you use). It's in good, indirect light amongst a lot of my other plants that are doing well. I seem to struggle with plants people say are easy (umbrella plant, peace lily, monstera) but do ok with ones that are tough! (Like calathea)

I have killed EVERY spider plant that I've ever had. I don't like them. Idk what they want. I get one that super happy with babies and all, and it goes in the trash within a few months. :( Too much water, too little water, tap water, distilled water, lots of light, indirect light, low light, fertilizer, 1/4 strength fertilizer, higher humidity area, low humidity area, it DOESN'T MATTER what I do, they all croak.
