I have 2 pairs of Tolos Arch 2, love them for work out, and then going out for some daily use as well.

Great reviews man! You're the best out there for this kind of thing. Be Lenka have a really exciting new range of shoes out. Noticed you've not reviewed any of their shoes before. Swift, Velocity and Stride look great for training. Arise and Wave look amazing for casual. Would love to see your thoughts on some of these!

Been wearing the Bare XF for a month now and they rock! Perfect transitional shoe for those looking to get into minimalist/barefoot. Loving the boomerang footbed - added cushion and comfort for box jumps and plyo. My foot type is flat, narrower heel, and wider toe box which = Bare XF. My workouts consist of WODs, CrossFit, Lifting, and overall functional fitness and they work for all. I do not recommend putting a lot of running miles on them but for sprints and short distances, they do the job. Hope you enjoy them as much as I have.
I unironically love the yzy pods for errands and working out. $20
Thanks for the detailed review! Might have to try out those Origo shoes. Had a first gen pair of Icarus shoes I loved (destroyed in the rain 😪), but in a size 12 I found them to look kind of huge on me. Also the Birchbury Bramford is another one that might be worth checking out!

Super informative and thorough, subscribed! One thing reviewers never say is how the outsole performs in wet weather and slippery surfaces. I know some shoes if im walking over a metal portion of ground it will slip when wet and could cause injury. Whereas other shoes perform much better on slicker surfaces.

I have these in white and wear them to the office almost daily. They’re durable and easy to clean. FWIW I have a narrow foot and don’t find them too wide. They also come with a pair of toe separators. Be aware that the shipping time is at least two weeks. 🙁

Be Lenka are on my to do list!
The Xero Dillon in white was my first barefoot shoe. I got them last summer, put them away for the fall and winter, and just got them back out again in the past month or two. I barely wear them and they're just yellow and dirty and not so nice looking. The laces are also way too long for them, I really should swap them out for shorter ones. Nice shoe, just a bit of a bummer. I like the Splay Freestyle shoes that I got later on, so perhaps next time I buy a white shoe, I might go with white Freestyles in canvas or leather, or maybe check out some other options. Be Lenka's got a few like the Prime or the new Rebound. But since the Xeros should last quite a long time, it might be a while before I'm back in the market. :P

Hey dude! Love your videos! Awesome in-depth reviews! I had a quick question. I am looking for shoes for flat feet, not too broad, but definitely need a versatile shoe for jumping, lateral movement, general cross fit and general gym workout. Do you have any recommendations?

I have the Tolos and Icarus. Both are fantastic. On your point about the Tolos not being the best for high instep people I would mostly agree but compared to the 1.0s they are worlds better. I basically could never do legs in the 1.0 because the upper was too tight and caused cramping. I have yet to cramp up in the 2.0s but I haven't really pushed those on a leg day.

Great video. Thank you. I’ve been wearing Vivos for a while now. But now I’m looking for a sneaker/trainer with zero drop. All my vivos I’m starting to talk through. Do you want something that's uber minimalist or with a little cushion? If you want a little more cushion but still want a "barefoot" shoe, go with the Lems Primal/Zen or Icarus Ascent Gen 2!

Buuuuut, which one is best for dance classes I wonder? Zumba and other types of dance, or even Aerobics. That's what I would like to know. I.e. not too much grip, a shoe you can do turns in without the shoe sticking to the floor when you do a turn so you risk damaging your knee. Also one that doesn't squeak when you slide or turn (my Xero Prios, stick and squeak on the dance class wood floor). Any advice? 🙂

I rotate to prevent stink! Usually do a 2:1 sock to no sock wear flow, but that can vary depending on temperature, my mood, and if I have socks clean, lol. Diff uppers will trap heat differently and feet can vary in temps, so keep an eye on that.

Are socks ruining our feet too or just the shoes??
@thatfitfriend
Ай бұрын
... My take. I would stop looking at that topic from a black and white POV, imo. Wayyyyy too many folks using their own personal opinions to harp on shoes "ruining" feet. This is why I don't love the barefoot shoe diehards, tbh. They leave little room for discussion on a topic that's multifactorial. Not to mention, the verbiage "ruin" "destroy". etc. etc. builds a bias in folks heads who may not know enough to ask more + better questions.

@@thatfitfriend i cant speak for other folks but i grew up feeling uncomfortable showing my feet. It just felt weird, like a private part, so i always wore shows. Or kept socks on and im now noticing the effects. Obviously some people have a healthy balance of shoes on shoes off so they are fine in any shoe. I still dont want to walk around barefooted so im asking do socks alone have the same potential to ruin your feet?
Do you wear socks with your barefoot shoes?
@thatfitfriend

I rotate depending on what I'm doing. I'll typically reach for some thin no-show socks like the Motee and Zconia that I've reviewed here on the channel. Cheap, breathable, and tend to last a while! I'll go sockless on warmer day or when the barefoot shoe fits more sock-like like the Tolos/Inov-8 Bare XF
