But here we are, years later, with him being (in my opinion) one of the best presenters on the platform. Sci show has brought some of the best and most easily digested content to my life through all 3 of your mind blowing hosts, so thank you for making my last few years a happier and smarter place to be! :)

when the tardigrade goes in its curled up form, it can resist a lot of stuff but when in normal conditions, it is just as prone to death as anything else

also tardigrades wouldn't continue thriving in any of those conditions in the video, as long as the conditions last for long enough as they can't perform normal functions while in that "sleeping" state

+Coll Drake I get this is a pun, but its not true. You can't physically hold your breath to death. You body, by reflex won't let you hold your breath long enough to die from it. At some point you will inhale oxygen even if you try your hardest not to. Unless I'm missing something, it is impossible to die by holding your breath alone. :P

As animals go, humans are terribly fragile and bad at adapting to change. Our advantage is our aggression and the ability to alter nature to our needs. We can create fire, build shelter and shade, bring water to barren lands, harvest it out of our own waste if necessary, and in the modern age we created the possibility of a nuclear armageddon, and we built shelters to try and survive that too. Yet almost any sustained unfavorable conditions can kill us. Heatstroke, hypothermia, radiation poisoning, dehydration. Hell, if nothing else does us in there's always cancer and our own hatred of ourselves.
