9.500RPM Mazda RX-7 Group C || 330Hp/940Kg Rotary Monster

This is one of the Rotary Monsters owned by Aidan Barret from New Zealand and quite a special machine it is. You can see it in action on Leadfoot Festival 2017 using all its 330Hp produced by a peripherally ported 13B Rotary Engine, in Naturally Aspirated form, tuned by Green Brothers and it moves only 940Kg of Group C heavily inspired Bodywork, from its widened stance to all the Aerodynamic appendages used.
Even with the "big moment" that can be seen near the end of the video, it went on to post a very fast chrono in the 55 second range, showing how capable this Chassis still is. Since then, Mr. Barret has bought an even more special Rotary Beast, hich we have featured some months ago, the GT300 RE-Amemiya RX-7 FD3S.
For those following our Channel for a longer time, you will notice this ia remake of an older video we posted over a year ago, now with added clips and featuring much better image quality.

@@jacobwebb8818 Yeah I know. ... But its all about power to weight. Car weighs nothing so would beat most 600 bhp modern cars. 330 bhp in a car like this more than enough.

@@jacobwebb8818 it's an SA we didn't get the FB here and considering none of the drive line is even remotely factory the power is good for an NA but unless it's a requirement for the class they are running they could achieved a lot more with even a small turbo

It's ok to be an enjoyer, my man. I don't see one in my future either but I found a decent mostly complete Datsun 720,for myself to wrench in my range of financial capacity, and I get tons of joy using the skills to help save money for my friends and family

@@RobertAdner fb marketplace is my crack I keep seeing very nice rx7s come up a few times a year for 5k or less and im never going to be able to have a family or have a single working rx because i will buy another car before i fix the ones i got. Sa and fb pop ALL the time very nice cars no rust or dents or horrible paint fade for less than 3 usually Nobody likes them. Come to the west coast, and the PNW and british columbia Lol

What a gorgeous Rx7! Everything from the paint, and body-kit, to that super tuned NA Wankel. Something about that unique Rotary sound puts a big grin on my face every time I hear it. When they are tuned just right they sound like possessed helicopters from hell.

Watching the old grinding dust float around on the floor just gives you a better idea of the G forces and the sudden changes that occur on the way up the track.

Mean rotor, I can do without the ‘racing’. Just the start up, idle and some reviving was more than enough.. that hills drive killed it.
