9/11 Survivor Michelle Remembers Her World Trade Center Escape on KirstyTV

Ойын-сауық

In remembrance and honor of 9/11, I sat down with a survivor of the attack of that fateful day. Michelle Rosado was in Tower II of the World Trade Center when Tower I was hit. Today, 12 years after the attack on American soil, we recorded our interview on a Google Hangout as she shared the details of that morning and her journey to healing and recovery. I had never heard an account of the morning of 9/11 in this much detail until I met the amazing Michelle.
Sh talks about how - 'It's ironic that despite how high up we were, we hardly noticed any aircraft overhead. Yet today, we heard this one. The next sound we heard was what sounded like an earthquake, then a bomb. A woman on the Northeast side of our floor screamed, and as I quickly arose from my chair to see what the commotion was, our windows shattered. "What was that?!" I screamed. Someone yelled, "I think a plane just hit Tower 1! Everybody get out of the building!" I grabbed everything I brought in with me that morning (my purse and briefcase), and ran towards the nearest exit, which was approximately 10 feet from my desk.
I was running for my life, not knowing what would happen next, when I saw my co-worker Lori running out as well. We headed for the elevator, then I stopped. I asked her, "Shouldn't we be taking the stairs in an emergency like this?" and she replied, "No! Just get in the elevator! C'mon!" We dashed into the elevator and held the door as our co-worker Andrew ran in. All three of us looked at one another in disbelief. An eerie feeling stirred throughout my body. For a moment, I thought I was dead; as if our Tower, 2, had been hit. Then the elevator stopped. The doors opened to the 90th Floor.
Occupying the 90th floor were the Legal and Human Resources departments. The elevator door opened, and all that was heard were the screams of panicked employees. Lori and I pleaded with them to come into the elevator, but no one did. The door then closed. Why didn't they go? This question haunts me every day, due to the fact that many of the people on the 90th Floor who were there that day are missing.
We landed on the 78th Floor, which was one of the main elevator banks at Tower 2. Lori and I ran to the nearest elevator we could find, and shoved our way in. A woman in front of us said, "That's it! No more people!" I looked behind me, and there were two men -- scrambling to get on another elevator...'

For anyone reading - in an emergency or drill, ALWAYS take the stairs. This lady just got very very lucky, fortunately. So many souls died on 9/11 burning alive from the explosion waiting for the elevator or inside the elevator. the elevators were also broken, jammed, and even pummeled down to the lobby that day bc the cables were cut by the planes. If you don’t believe me, youtube Joe Dittmar who was on the 105th floor in the south tower, he took the stairs down the entire way after the first plane hit and made it down safely. I’m sorry for being gruesome but that’s the truth about what happened that day. I repeat-NEVER take or wait for the elevator in an emergency. Take the stairs no matter how high up you are!

@@beatles925 She was in the 95th floor. The plane hit the 78th to 84th Floor - under the 75th floor you had a 99,9% chance of surviving. So she had 16 minutes to go down 20 Floors by foot to be safe after the first plane hit. I think that you can do this not even running but casualy walking downstairs. Taking the elevators or waiting for them was clearly the more risky decision. So please listen to the original comment that you should always take the staircase. Being stuck in an elevator while a fire is the worst thing that can happen. In a staircase you can go down, up or to the current floor so you have more options hence more chance of surviving until help is there.

I will never forget this day as ling as I live... though I witnessed it on the news, from home, in Florida. I used to drive motor coaches into Manhattan on weekends, back in the mid 1980s. I used to drop of my passengers, usually at Rockefeller Center, and then hang out in the city until about 11pm, when I'd pick up my passengers and head back to Connecticut. I used to go shopping in the basement mall, and would drag my co-workers up to the observation area. I still can't wrap my head around the fact that it's all gone. 😢💔

My mom took me up to the top floor of the north tower a week before this happened. I was only 10 but I remember so vividly what it looked like and the beautiful view looking out at the river. My mom after maybe 15 minutes of being up there got a weird feeling and regretted taking me up there and we hurried back down. Crazy to think this could of been me. I remember a week or so after the attack we were sailing on the Chesapeake bay and we saw large barges going past with the rubble from the towers in it. I instantly burst into tears when I recognized it. Definitely the most eerie feeling I've ever had to this day. My cousin died in the south tower and I wish all the time he could have made it out alive.

Every year around this time up until 9/11, I will watch stories from survivors and my heart breaks all over again. Her coworker that insisted she take the elevator is her guardian angel. Just knowing that most of your coworkers who were not trying to descend down the stairs due to panic, would be so tough to live with. I couldn't imagine the fear I would have from seeing the first plane hit, to trying to grab an elevator, seeing people jump to their deaths and the collapse of the buildings. That would traumatize someone for life. God Bless all those that survived and those that lost their lives.

To burn to death would be one of the slowest, most painful ways to die. Many who parish in fires pass away from smoke inhalation which would be terrible in itself. The intense heat from a fire fueled by jet fuel would be beyond comprehension for the vast majority of us. The ones that did jump I'm sure did it as a last resort realizing they had no way out and the heat was becoming unbearable. The saving grace by jumping from that height is that it would be over before you'd feel any pain. None of us know exactly what we would do if put in that same situation. I pray to God that nobody judges these people for jumping or thinks that they committed suicide because that is simply not the truth at all. The people that were forced to jump, fell or blown out of the buildings on 9/11 were murdered by coward terrorist.

There was no choice that would allow them out alive and they choose death, it was only death. So people dont want to group those people, with a jumper who takes his life off the Golden Gate bridge, on their own accord.

That's why keeping it vigilant is so important. Its important to keep faith in Gods divine timing and plan for us. We are given free will ,to either choose divine or go with the devil ; unfortunately, many people choose the devil, because it's an easy gratification, an ego based approach to life..but love is the only thing that transcends through time and space ,that never changes ,never goes away, never dies unlike ego.. ..if humanity would just stop and look at it from a prpstective of a compassionate being, the world wouldn't know evil ! Compassionate is the highest form of intelligence!

The mainstream media likes to tell the masses that the 911 event was conducted by 19 Arabs who hijacked 4 aircraft. Opponents to this tale are called _'conspiracy theorists'_ but ALL the facts surrounding the event support the idea that it was a deliberate act planned, funded and conducted by elite, Zionist Jeωs. The fact that elites controlling the US government planned and funded the WTC destruction is made clear by the website www.ae911truth.org View the statements of over 3000 engineers/architects who believe that the destruction of the 3 World Trade Center buildings, on Sept 11, 2001, was not caused by the two aircraft that collided with WTC 1 & 2. They don't believe the tale told by the government. The webpage includes the qualifications of each engineer/architect and each of them has written a short statement. www.ae911truth.org/signatures/#/AE/ There are many detailed and well made videos on the 911 event. One video contains *5 hours* of evidence and shows many engineers/architects giving their professional opinions. It has the title, *September 11 - The New Pearl Harbor (Full version) - Part 1 of 3* kzread.info/dash/bejne/gWV7pceug9WZfc4.html ... arguing that 911 was a false flag event to trigger the 'war on terror'.

Harry Seldon What you’re proposing is essentially this: the US government wanted to invade Iraq/Afghanistan. But before they could do so, they needed the ‘moral’ support of the US people. So to awaken that support, they killed 3,000 of their own people (minus the foreign nationals who died on 9/11). Question: why would the US government need the moral support of the US people before invading a country?

An incredible story of survival. The survivor part is incredible, nothing else about what she had to endure is. I can never understand this level of trauma, even though I have been through some traumatic things in my life. I would never compare them to this though. Michelle is an inspiration. I love her view on hate, and forgiveness. It is truly beautiful. Her describing her way through the trauma and PTSD after resonates with me very deeply. I felt similar emotions in my own trauma. Her feeling nothing when seeing the towers fall when she was on the highway is such a prime example of how our minds work in trauma. Our minds protect us. That is how it's supposed to be. The thing that rings the most true in my experiences is her remembering about the people jumping 15 years later. In my trauma it took 10 years to realize what happened and to remember it. This again is how our minds protect ourselves, but the only way to heal is to remember even though it's awful. I can't imagine how remembering about those people felt, my experiences could never compare. Michelle, if you ever read this, thank you. Thank you for sharing your story, thank you for giving other people hope in their own trauma. Thank you for showing that there is always hope, and healing, even in moments where we think we can't ever heal. Thank you for being so brave to share such a traumatic, personal experience. I don't know why some things happen, none of us can really know, but the fact that you are alive, was for sure meant to be. You are changing the world for the better, and that is a blessing. I wish you only happiness in the future. RIP to all of those who lost their lives that day. Peace and love to those who lost someone that day.

Fantastic story, TY Kirsty & Michelle ! It was also a beautiful day in Kentucky and I recall listening to Van Morrison's Moondance lp while preparing to visit my parents in the township nearby. When arriving greeted at the door with the 'bad news" and watching the footage on TV. Looking back, all the bliss & optimism of the Moondance lp expressing the dream of New York, so strikingly ironic to the events that unfolded that "beautiful" yet horrific day. Never had the opportunity to visit New York City, but watching the 9-11 videos fell in love with the people and especially the victims, as well as slowly developing an appreciation for the stupendous feat of architecture, magnificence, and sheer mass of WTC 1&2 towering high into the air and over Manhattan. "Life is checkered - shade & sunshine" H.W.L. "It's time to live in the scattered sun" -T.D./J.M. "The sun is in tune - but the sun is eclipsed by the moon" -P.F.

The video I watch of this guy that survived said he took the only stairway which was only ONE that went from top to bottom. He said all the other stairways only went so far, then you'd have to go onto as floor cut across to the another stairwell to get to the lobby. Anyways, he said the stairway was just covered in hundreds of ladies high heels. The would fall over them because there was so many. Said these ladies were smart to take them off and just leave them to be able to move faster😢

In March 2001 I had a nightmare that I am in a plane which crashes in a building with many glass windows, the next nightmare but in another plane and then a third time. After the last nightmare in the morning I announced to my aquagym students that this year probably there will be a great disaster because here is what I dreamed about. It still puzzles me how I could dream and that the nightmare came true. I didn't know where in Witch City or country I was in my dream. I had these nightmares on the Island of Réunion on march 2001. I left the Island that year on the month of juin.

Thank you Michele for sharing your experience. I’m a senior New Yorker living abroad. Never will I forget the impact that made me to watch the news on tv that day, it was 3:00pm for us here. I think from that moment on I lost my heart for it flew over to all that incredible horror. I came back to NYC and visited zone cero were I recuperated my heart … since then it’s filled with compassion and forgiveness. I believe all those that lost their lives that day is what they are asking all of us whom are alive to day and to remember 9.11.2001 as part of USA history. Blessings.
