For others preparing to do their clutches on R18 8th gen (Si or non si) you don't need to pull the big 32mm axle nuts. None of the 2 CV axles need to separate from the wheel hubs. Just the intermediate as the uploader stated. Once you're ready just pop the inboard side of the CV axles from the differential/tranny. Have a drip pan to catch the fluid that seeps from the shaft seals. Now... Because the lower control arms, stab bar and stab links drop with the sub frame as one assembly, the wheel assembly can swing out freely, giving the clearance to pop the CVs from the transmissions differential side. Use bungees or wire to support the CV shafts horizontally. They just chill there still in the wheel hubs.

Dropping the tranny out of my 07 Civic EX coupe, this is not fun. Got the transmission tower mount out by the ecu, everything on top of the transmission (air intake box, shifter cables, wiring harness, master cylinder) some differences between the Si set up but watching to see how you lowered the transmission. No cherry picker for me so I’m trying to just lower the driver side of the sub frame to get the transmission out

+NAUS when my car is on*. After taking my clutch out, I noticed that the clutch is worn out. A piece of metal broke off of my clutch disc. Also, my throw out barring was all caked in dried up grease. And my Tranny shifts fine, it's just the third gear is notchy here and there. A few people told me its my clutch, but just to be safe, I'm going to get my transmission rebuilt or maybe buy a reman. Comes down to price.
