- 8C morning & broke a cylinder
** Just another cold start to a typical day here on the farm, did notice I needed to replace a cylinder though.
** I am so blessed, I get to seed and work with not only my family (tho sometimes you want to punt them some where 😂🤷🏼♂️) but most importantly, I get to work along side Ashtyn my wife! 🙂😁

As a German guy I am totally fascinated by the sheer size of the fields. I mean you just see the field like it never ends, great work.

Mike said "adios amigos" and then the video ended, I was not expecting that!?! Is everything okay Mike, it's just not like you to say goodbye once & mean it?

Still waiting for the Fendt 1167 MT
“Well mike were you cycling the hydrolics while you were warming up? Yes I was. Good question though”. Wait, did you give yourself credit for a good question that you asked and answered? 😂
Mike I love how Ashton can keep up by giving you a hard time love to see a relationship like that
"Agriculture is our wisest pursuit, because it will in the end contribute most to real wealth, good morals & happiness." The farmer has to be an optimist or he wouldn't still be a farmer. A good farmer is nothing more nor less than a handy man with a sense of humus.

This is a really great pre-start check video. Doesn’t matter what implement you’re using, or how stressed and behind you think you are, keeping looking and checking. I’ve sent it to the team on the arable farm I manage 👍

Love seeing you two work together in the fields like this 😁 Plus I likr to see the seeding aswell, looks boring when I think about it but its so interesting to actualy watch it. Aannnd the more random videos you make the better, doesnt matter if its just some silly stuff you do, just love it 😅
Wholesome content of the day!
I'm no farmer but the ground is powder , get your seed in ground it can wait in the soil , no good in bag..My dad passed away recently at age of 97 he farmed around 1200 acres of corn back in 50s threw the 70s retired early..But his instructions to me always was IT'S GO TIME
Can’t wait for a bunch of little mikes out there with you guys!!
The cotter pins are pointy side up. No wonder they fall out. Just like the keeper bolt on the new hitch pins. Gravity is your enemy. It could be your friend.
Mate ur Chanel is awesome it cheers me up when I see a notification from u
Cold and dry. Ideal growing conditions 😂. Hoping and praying for some rain for you right now.
as a southen albertan we justed started seeding about 4 days ago, we have had weather all over the scale
something that would help your hoses from snapping so much is painting them a dark color
Love what you are doing and all the uploads keep it up mate.
Great video Mike

I find it quite interesting that you guys seed in the frozen soil/when the temp is below zero. Never ever heard that over here in Germany at least. :D

it aint freezing nine inches down get the seed in no use in the bag only for transport.
It looks like you finally got the bird shit cleaned off your windshield 🤣🧼🧴🧽😂
At last, a new video from Mike 🤩 Been to long 😂#cravings
I had to laugh when Ashtyn said "I want a new cylinder to replace mine, not that old bent up one repaired"
I didn’t know that popcorn had dry farts.
That Zylinder got exited very easy and remember plow your lady not your field. The Field will dry out when getting plowed.
“I ain’t gonna lie, Mike. I got questions”. I had a bowl of popcorn 🍿 last night.... listened for popcorn farts... nothing. Just nothing. Are you just pulling’ my leg?

Hey hii live from INDIA 🇮🇳
In Serbia, 2,500 acres are worked by a small number of farmers, and this is done by a family of four with the largest tractor of 120 kw, and an arable land size of 10 acres on average.

Oh don’t worry we got a foot of snow around April 12 so I’m watching this waiting to see how much loss they get
Just awesome..... whenever i used to watch his videos in field it gives me goosebumps.......one i will be definitely there now it is in bucket list...... love from india man❤️❤️❤️ you are awesome
Even here in southern Manitoba it's too drie we mostly have it wet but this is the driest in a long time.
I learned pretty quickly how much pressure was in those lines while they were up, pretty scary I was underneath it and the hose flew off and like you said about two pails of oil comes out faster than you’d ever think it could I got soaked half the drill got soaked and the pickup that was parked beside got a lot too. And just about got crushed by a few of those shanks
I like your videos. They show how you work in an amusing and fun way. Regards from Sweden. We do not see your type of very big machinery here. The fields just ain't big enough. ;-) Although some big combines and tractors are used of course. But not in your sizes, yet....
always when my phone vibrate i hope its notification from you

Frost is moisture, all the water you'll ever need lol
Small block of wood and the hitch jack as a make shift field press lol.
You could use a couple of inches rain!
-8 here this morning and snow is falling. No seeding yet. Northern AB.
That frost makes me miss fall

go to Ukraine they survive at -20 and plow and plant. every country copes how best it is for them dont compare one with another as your actions are hostile to others.
18:07 don’t close your eyes and listen......
Here is a tip from my old case days if you bend cotter pin on both ears u have better chance of catching it before it falls out
What a beautiful morning to be in a field! Thanks for the video!
Would it be benefit to use some hot air blower for some time in front of those fans - on cold mornings like that you would get those hoses at least a bit warm first so they might not pop being so dang crisp.. ?
Five days behind 😂😂😂😂 only if you don’t have to reseed . And when the killing frost comes it won’t matter will it .
Mike, I think in one of your future videos you need to explain/ define the saying "dry as a popcorn fart". I've tried explaining it to my wife for over a decade now but she still doesn't get it.
I wish you still had cows. Those would be some neat videos narrated by you.
On the question of soil temperature, if there are no broadleaf weeds growing the land is really cold.
Morning
🔥Gota be the best thing bout have bunch of the same equipment eh, mobile parts store in every field🔥👊🔥🏍🏍🏍 get r done ✅
I see you use the Manchester spanner. One size fits all. Thought you would have a better tool boxes? Seems to be 'mix and match' between units. Good vid
We in Austria didn't really start seeing 😂
Hey Mike! Can you install a pressure sensors before the Tower. Then see a rise in pressure if 1or2 hose are plugged???
Well it Came!! 😂
Hey Mike...Frosty 🥶 Those clevises would likely break trying to bend them back straight..... usually cast breaks! Is that hydraulic oil food grade? Nice to see a couple working together in harmony 😊
@darrylpaulhus3069

Not food grade
-2 here just north of Edmonton. We don’t seed before May 1st. Had some late frost been burned a couple times. A wise old man told me... Seed in the dust your bins will bust. Seed when there’s frost you’ll double your cost.
So question Mike have you ever had a problem with the frost and ice on the hoses? With them snapping like you said.
Mike, What if you replaced those soft cotter keys with hard spring pins? They might not wear out as fast.
it is now my sole purpose to find out what a dry popcorn fart is :D
Hello buddy!!! What are you seeding? Nice video!!! Greetings from Uruguay 🇺🇾

Hi Mike, nice video as always! What are you seeding this year? Heard in an older video that you mentioned that you might not seed chickpeas this year...
Why not have a vise mounted on the carts?
id love for you to talk more about soil conditions and how tractors etc being on them affect it and whatnot. Also, how come you guys dont lay down tile to carry the water away and not have to deal with the slews?
You had better be careful on how many things you take from Ashtyn or there may be a hurting coming in the near future. 🤣🔨🚑🔧😂
She's a bit chilly boys
They should put the Mitchell farm on the show Mega Machines.
