What a beautiful family! After a long and difficult day, I was driving home and passed the Burger King. Immediately I thought of Hunter and his great smile, and the next thing you know, I'm smiling! So I am grateful for many things, but in that moment I was grateful for Hunter and his beautiful smile and love of life! Thank you for sharing that all with us.....I know I can't be the only one who feels that way.....❤️❤️❤️

Mike, we burn brush just like you did there. Things burn tons better in a hole. At least that’s what we’ve found. If some folks have a problem with it, tell them to give you their address and you’ll deliver a nice big pile to their front door. Blessings to you and your family. Jason from Indiana.

I got my first tractor yesterday. It's an L2501. I got it with a loader, grapple, forks, backhoe, and rotary cutter. I feel like I'm already off to a pretty good start with what I've learned from watching you use your tractors. Thanks for showing me how to do it! Keep up the good work!!

Here in Northern California we don’t have to work at making a burn pit. If one just waits, a wildfire will blow through at some point a clean all the brush out. Of course, it will also burn up houses and everything else! Seriously, I’m jealous of your pit and the convenience it provides for maintaining your property. Have a day!

Motor Mike, I am one who knows it is not necessary to burn in your area, since I use to pile brush and burn it. When ever I cut a tree, the limbs were piled in the woods and then burn’t. One day an old gentleman who live close by, asked why I was burning. My reply was to get rid of it. He told me just cut the limbs smaller so they come in contact with the ground and in 3 years you will hardly notice them. He was RIGHT! NOW i go back and look at the soil where they were and see the benefits of the decaying materials. Not much different than a corn farmer taking a hand full of soil analyzing his soil. Maybe I do it this way since I do not have as much machinery as you do. We both live in areas that have plenty of moisture, so it is not a fire danger, like out west. That wood chipper would work wonders unless it is not working properly.

Like the pit you dug for your burning. When we cleared for building (73 trees) we burned for a week straight. These were popular trees or what we call grub trees. Some were saved for a log cabin up north (Minnesota).

No pressure, Eva! With all the advisors, even Archie was trying to help her. She gave you a nice, smiley outtro. In watching your blade, I wondered if you had welded a brace across the top. Could have been dirt I suppose. Someone else asked if the was a fiberglass liner- maybe we saw the same thing. As for the brush pile advocates, they really don’t understand how much of the land would be brushpiles. We had a joke back home: How do you clear 40 acres? Well first, you buy the 40 acres next to it to pile the brush on! When we cut fence posts, the first half hour or so was spent opening up a little patch to work in without tripping over undergrowth or cut Osage Orange limbs. Once that was done, we could make some progress. I hated that first half hour at a new spot in the timber. Anyway, your plan is coming together nicely!
