British Rail electric blue liveried 86259/E3137 named "Peter Pan & Les Ross" is seen heading along the west coast main line and through Bamfurlong south of Wigan on Saturday 22nd June 2024.
The class 86 was working part of "The Cumbrian Mountain Express" from London Euston to Carlisle. With the 86 working London/Carnforth and Preston to London legs.
Steam locomotive 34067 Tangmere worked Carnforth to Carlisle and Carlisle to Preston via the S&C.
The train was running over an hour late all day thanks to bring caught in distribution in the morning around Milton Keynes which was due to trespassing.
