Well at least I was alive in 1985 lol. Hope you have fun with this one Moe.
The game system shares similarities not only with ‘65 but have a lot in common with Night of Man with different setting. After playing strategic Zurmat and tactic Warfare I still want to play a good system in these kind of environments.

Yep, based off the Night of Man and 65 systems. It'll be fun playing in Afghanistan with this one for sure!
QC at Flying Pig is really lacking. I noticed the typo on the Retreat action ... "Ingore the Close Assault results for both sides." I'm buying the game but things like this, plus the missing overlays really makes me think about paying a premium price for their games. ETA - (same day) So I picked the game up at my FLGS and the overlays were taped to the bottom of the box in a plastic envelope. That was good to see.

Very nice looking! Why are the maps numbered 4 through 8 ... are maps 1 through 3 part of '65 Nam?

Great review, thanks. As much as I like the look of this game, I really don’t care for a card driven game. That aspect probably makes it hard to solo too. Shame with two games already out and another coming.

There is a solo expansion that you can play as well. I have not had any issue playing two handed as I enjoy playing both sides, working through two tactical problems, and letting the narrative unfold. I know not everyone may like that but I've enjoyed it with most every wargame even the CDGs. Though I don't play a lot of CDGs myself.

Grab this one while it's available and then '65 when it is reprinted. Not sure when that will be done next.
