Affalterbach. The first performance hybrid from Mercedes-AMG is entering series production and draws on technologies from Formula 1. The concept includes a distinctive drive layout with electric motor and battery on the rear axle as well as a high-performance battery developed in-house. The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E PERFORMANCE (weighted, combined fuel consumption: 8.6 l/100 km; weighted, combined CO2 emissions: 196 g/km; weighted power consumption: 10.3 kWh/100 km)[1] combines superior performance and impressive driving dynamics with maximum efficiency thanks to its special powertrain. The E PERFORMANCE model thus transfers the DNA of AMG Driving Performance into the electrified future. The combination of 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine and electric motor generates a system output of 620 kW (843 hp) and a maximum system torque of more than 1,400 Nm. The electric drive's immediate response at the rear axle, rapid torque build-up and improved weight distribution make for a new, highly dynamic driving experience. I do not agree with this comment because If you do not like the pops and bangs you can turn off the exhaust system & you have an amazing sound without it or just drive it in comfort mode, in my opinion there should be an option to really hear and feel the V8 😅

This is an amazing car, in UK we can't get those speeds outside of a track, and having noise meters coming, its probably a good idea not having pops and bangs. For me that interior looks so nice.

Es gibt ein ganz anderes Feeling wenn du 30 sekunden hinter jemanden bist und dann durch drückst! Ruhig 10-20 Minuten pures Autobahn fahren auch wenn die Hälfte davon kein vollgas ist😁🤟

No pot holes on the Autobahn. They keep it well maintained.
You need to rev the car for longer to spool up the turbo for your launches
I'm surprised about the sound, AMG did a pretty good job on the new SL, shame the GT63S E-Performance is muted. The US spec version sounds a lot nicer too.

If you have the money you can always build a new exhaust system (street legal) for the car, that way you can get more pops and bangs it just won’t get that much louder

I like the almost Japanese-ish "Whhhoooaaa" sounds he makes, when he is simply stunned by the force! I love it, that the car got rid of the fake pops and bangs. This might Audi do for its "Proles", but not a serious car! (which is also kind of ridiculous, with all its animations and shooting gallery, candy cotton and carnival ride interiour, to be brutally honest)
No doubt . I prefer the previous GT 63 AMG without electrical motor. When somebody bought a GT 63 AMG, it is not to save the planet.

7:28 I entirely understand why that car overtook you on the middle lane.. he did that because you and bunch of car "traveling" in the left lane continuously and THAT'S not allowed... you have to keep right! There's a bunch of traffic sign on the autobahn that says that and many people don't understand it.. KEEP RIGHT (and if you want to overtake THEN you go to the left lane besides that you stay right)

mr benc we both now that gt63se its not faster than m5cs yeah the electricity motors gived it like 200hp more but added 300 kilos more too and its almost 700 kilos havier than m5cs and not quicker and too expensive i mean for like 50 grand more i would just take a normal gt63s and tune it with only 10 grand and save my self 40 grand

Get rid of the secondary cats and you will hear all the pops you want. It's a Mercedes Benz man. Pure luxury and power! That's what a Benz should be like.
I'm impressed 50/50 weight distribution along with the acceleration plus lack of fake sounds (fake sound detective😅) surely it can be forgiven for lack of pops & bangs (popcorns) believe it's the electric element of the car . . .
this is how all highways should be. unrestricted speed.
You'd prolly have to sell your beach house to repair anything on that car, I still love it though.....!
